Hey..I usually play 80-90 holes per week......I've played 65 this year....I'm dying......Course closed today so might be closed tomorrow. Times like this I realise how much I rely on my weekly golf round for mental health - the thought if it being closed tomorrow and unable to play is making me feel sick. It's not been a good week.
Totally agree. For reasons I won’t go into, my weekly round of golf is my only time I get to switch off from other stuff for a few hours, I’ve come to rely on it. Going for walks, watching football on tv etc doesn’t have the same affect.Course closed today so might be closed tomorrow. It's still there. Been relisted. I've offered to sort the collection so the problem, if it occurs, would be mine, but still no.Someone selling a golf club on e bay won't post it. Collection only. Any one live near Haverfordwest?![]()

My place has already confirmed closed tomorrow. I've booked Tricky Ricky instead with two mates, in the rain. Sure to be completely hellish.Wow, sorry to hear that. I'm surprised because I remember you mentioning your course is based on chalk and drains well.
I've managed to have a round every weekend so far this year on my clay based course, so I've been exceptionally lucky. I've not really paid attention to how much it's been closed during the week when I'm at work, but I know it's closed today.
Yeah. I even went for a walk yesterday because I was going so stir crazy.Course closed today so might be closed tomorrow. Walking alone locally without golf clubs, a dog or any particular purpose is very boring.

Annoying price structures. Just checking out a driving range that has the following prices:
50 balls = £10.50. 75 balls = £11.50. 100 balls = £12.50
So the first 50 balls work out 21p per ball, but after that it's 4p per ball?? Who came up with this? It's actually more cost effective to buy 100 and throw 17 of them away than it is to get 75.
Sure, it's just the increments that make no sense to me. At my more local range it's £7.50 for 50 balls and £12 for 100. So there is some economy of scale still, but it doesn't make it completely worthless to buy 50.It’s no different to supermarkets’ pricing strategies e.g. buy a bottle of wine for £10 or two bottles for £11.

I can only practice after 8pm and I don't fancy doing it in the dark. This is why I prefer to have a club with a practice field......I don't mind picking up my own golf balls......and it's free with just using decent balls I've taken out of circulation.
