The sun and humidity are so fierce here that the colours just sun-bleach & fade. Nothing last for years unless its just not worn often
I know its not the laundry because the bit of shirt that’s tucked in remains the original shade while shoulders/back fade fastest. Same with shorts the bit under the belt & the inside stays normal colour while rest fades fast
Sounds like a good reason to expand your golf clothing collection
I have maybe 30 polo shirts, I play about 40 rounds a year, so I’m only wearing some shirts once or twice a year. It will take a decade for them to get bleached by the sun.
I go through more, what with sponsor commitments and 72 hole comps
Actually I tend to wear my newer stuff repeatedly, that and a a fluctuating belly means i wear what fits at any given time
Seems Skycaddie have rectified the update as the yardage is back showing again...Skycaddie software update...
Before I updated I was able to move the flag position on the green and I'd get an instant yardage.
Now I can't..I have to tap a button which let's me move the pin into position as if I had a pin sheet...eg 7 yards from the left and 12 yards from the front. Tap the button again and I get my yardage
But we don't have pin sheets, except for Club Champs.
This feature was already available by hitting a different button..which I never used because, well, we don't have pins sheets.
A totally useless update which has rendered the unit far less useful than it was...will be thinking twice in August when it's renewal time.....

So we are going to have to truge around in the cold and very soggy ground, paying £10 for the privilage. Super

That sounds very annoying. I’m on a banter group with golf pals for general p taking, golf and footy chat.Have decided to leave a big golf WhatsApp group as some members (one being one of the lead members) persist in posting utter
And notwithstanding that in my eyes golf and politics shouldn't mix (as we know on here) - they most certainly shouldn't be mixed on this particular WhatsApp group. I could post my own retorts - but I'm then just contributing to it. I've complained to the group admin - but to no avail - I guess they are of a similar mind as those posting the rubbish and so find it funny. But I don't - I find it very irritating. So leave I shall just have to do - which is a pity.
I'm on two linked ones in the club for our Saturday Rollup. One for purely golfing matters - organizing tee times etc - the other for a bit of chat and jokes. We had to separate them as you couldn't find the important golf stuff amongst the chat - much of which was rubbish of the 'everyone is allowed their opinion' nonsense about the running of the club., or of the 'it's only banter' tripe - perhaps typical of the membership of a Surrey golf club - maybe most golf clubs
...I say no more...and often I have to seriously bite my tongue.
