It did wonder if the plaque dedicated to Liverpool Phil on the first tee was just a coincidence.
Golf off today, we cancelled due to the promised rain that didn't really happen, and I went to a nearby second hand golf shop. I tried a few putters and the two I liked were a Sik at £165 and an Evnroll EV12 at £240

I think all things golf related are getting out of hand, price wise. Putter grips for £40, iron grips for £15 etc....
There's still bargains to be had, im sure you'll find a putter, just lower your sights a tad maybe
Or hope for a break in the weather to stop you shopping.
My last few putters were a bargain brand new cleveland putter from clubhouse golf, and the callawaygolfpreowned site.
The smart thing is for me to wait until October onwards. Shop prices won't change but the auction places go a bit calmer, not as many people bidding. It's whether I have the patience to waitTbh

My wife trialled a 5 wood today, went quite well, however the £319 price tag took the shine off the experience.

The first rain came at 11.52. Sadly precise but I was in my car when it started and I worked out the hole I would have been playing. It threw it down for about 5-10 minutes, then stopped. It didn't start again until 3.30 - 4, I stopped being precise as I didn't care at this point
.It's rained solidly since then, Morpeth, but it's been steady rather than bouncing down. Good rain for gardens, rivers etc, not intense. It might be we've missed the worst of it

We had a decent day of rain....nothing hard though. Unless.....you were just a few miles east of Harrogate. Some flooding in towns near the A1. I was checking the radar and Harrogate seems to have a rain repellent surrounding it.....big nasty rain clouds running up the A1 side of things.
