Why are people going to the GP for the winter cold what is the GP going to do ?

There was an uproar about wasting GP getting a docs letter for a buggy is this not also wasting valuable GP appointments

Cos this is lots more than a cold, been going on for nearly two weeks and I have had trouble breathing.

You’d expect a winter cold to clear up within 2 wk surely,might need antibiotics.
