Fairways are 350 except the LS which is the same as the drivers
Hybrids are nearly 300.
I think if you've bought new in the last couple of years it's hard to justify that outlay for a few more yards
Go ex demo, virtually new for about half the cost. Just got Qi irons for about that and most of the clubs are in hit

Our club having a hedgehog wheels only rule in place. On the website, on the booking form for tee times, on the first tee.
And as I am getting my stuff out of the car for an afternoon round, one of the mouthiest, loudest, always complaining senior members coming off the 18th with normal trolley wheels.

When the revolution comes, he is going to be the first against the wall. Wheels and all.

Did you speak to or report him?

We got our course re-rated back in the summertime. Most members were of the opinion that our ratings were too low, I think. It's taken about five months to get the new ratings back.

Well, they've just got lower. Gone from 117 to 112 slope off the whites, 66.6 course rating becomes 65.9. I'll now only get 12 shots in my next comp, off of 15.3. What an absolute joke! 🤣

(On the plus side I think this actually gets rid of the bogus shot we were giving in our next foursomes match, so every cloud!)

I feel your pain. We have Winter wheels in place for 4 months' from 1st November. It is so frustrating when members do not comply. There is nothing on the bookings for Winter Opens which are run by The Pro who takes the majority of profit. He is the worst offender because it is in his own interest to turn a blind eye.

That’s quite a drop - we have tended to see a point or two down on slope and maybe 0.1 on Course Rating lower generally this year.
Has the club made any changes or has there been a remeasure of the course? When courses are re measured they tend to end up being quite a few yards shorter these days - something to do with landing zones on shaped holes and fixed markers being too far back as courses tried to look as long as possible and had blocks falling off the back of platforms.
