and swing speedIf you’re giving people the loft of the club you hit, shouldn’t you be adding the length as well as that can impact distance?
or just say club x and get on with it as golfers have done for years

No need to apologise, we have free will…if it wasn’t for the wife, aged parents, kids, job, mortgage and friends I’d up sticks to Scotland or Oz for cheap golf in a heartbeatI lived in Sussex for a lot of years, so I know the cost, crazy prices compared to here in OZ, sorry.
Jesus Christ - when I checked the other day it said cold but basically alright Sunday morning. Now it's gusts up to 49mph?? Forget that. The weather! Why do the storms always happen to come on the weekends too?
If I planned my golf around weather forecasts, I would rarely play. After the 1987 Michael Fish debacle, the forecasters seem to lean towards the worst case scenario ...Jesus Christ - when I checked the other day it said cold but basically alright Sunday morning. I don't mind playing in a bit of rain, done it enough times, but I can't play in 40mph+ winds, that just completely ruins it. Especially with rain as well since you can't stick a brolly up in that. Just not worth bothering. If I planned my golf around weather forecasts, I would rarely play. After the 1987 Michael Fish debacle, the forecasters seem to lean towards the worst case scenario ...
That prompted me to check - Saturday is torrential rain all day and gusts to 61mph!Jesus Christ - when I checked the other day it said cold but basically alright Sunday morning. Now it's gusts up to 49mph?? Forget that.
That's why I get mine done in the pro shop!Bought replacement spikes and a wrench kit for my Eccos. Still can't get the old, broken spikes out for love nor money. And now I've damaged them further in trying.
Since swapping my Mizuno Pro 221 (blades) for Mizzy Hot Metal Pro (chunky monkeys) I now tell people after hitting the 6 iron that I have just hit my 5 and a half iron.People harping on about how their x iron isn't a real x iron as the loft is wrong. If it says 7 on the sole, it is a 7 iron. When asked what you hit on a certain hole, do these people say " Well I held the club with a 7 on but I actually hit a 6". Getting boring now!
Pair of pliers usually gets them out not textbook but effective.Bought replacement spikes and a wrench kit for my Eccos. Still can't get the old, broken spikes out for love nor money. And now I've damaged them further in trying.
Shoes upside down, electric drill, small bit right through the middle of the old spike thread but not so far that it goes into the thread of the shoe.Bought replacement spikes and a wrench kit for my Eccos. One of the reasons I’ll never buy spiked shoes again.Bought replacement spikes and a wrench kit for my Eccos. Still can't get the old, broken spikes out for love nor money. And now I've damaged them further in trying.

Put a little grease or Vaseline on the new ones it’s easier to get them out when the time comes.
I tried pliers but couldn't grip it, just slipped off. Don't fancy drilling my shoes as I'd definitely cock that up. But never fear, saw an old thread advising to soak the sole in hot water for a bit, so I did that and managed to get the spikes out with the spike ripper I bought after that.Shoes upside down, electric drill, small bit right through the middle of the old spike thread but not so far that it goes into the thread of the shoe.
Will come out piece of cake.

Or just buy new shoesYeah, you could also try putting the shoes in a lathe and sanding the spikes off.
Or pouring liquid nitrogen on the spikes to freeze them and then chip them off.
