I really find McGinley an objectionable commentator. He is so negative and has a terrible habit of continually finding fault whatever the situation.

Today at the end of Rory's round where he won $3,000,000 he went on about Rory not closing out unlike Tiger or Nicholas would have done.

He should realise that Rory did not have a blip in the middle of the round on purpose and accepts mistakes happen. How did he think Rory felt!

Did he think Rory did it on purpose!

Cannot imagine him as a motivational speaker and please give somebody credit for playing so well over 4 days

@3offTheTee do you think that is what he believes a co commentator should do? As though he can't be positive, that isn't what the public/director wants?
No problem with constructive criticism/advice.

Unfortunately it is continuous throughout. Whatever the producer wants he is entitled to an opinion. It is not only Rory but most other players 😡

4ball of newish players out in front of us yesterday, followed them for three holes but couldn’t fathom why they were playing the course at 6,500 length (all tees open to anyone)
Caught up with them on tee box and (knowing one of the lads) I said, you guys know in this wind its playing way longer today? It’ll be closer to 7,000

They just didn’t have the tee shots to get enjoyment from their day. One or more losing ball/s on each hole we followed with a Q of players closing up on them

Give yourselves a break lads, just move forward

Did they move forward and act on your advice?

He said they would but didn't on next hole (we skipped a hole to get in front then) Maybe the others lads didn't want to
Nice lads and they do a lot right for newbies (letting ppl through, get a wiggle on between shots, booking tee for the quietest time of the weekend etc) but they're not ready yet to play that kind of set up
Jeez I didn't play it long either, played at 6,000 so there's still some chance of GIR etc but still had to use driver on a par 3 at 170 (by then into a 4club wind)

On the 4th tee yesterday, the four-ball in front have spotted us and they stand to the side to wave us through. But they stand over on the right hand side, in the exact spot where my ball will go if I slice it again. So I think "bloody hell, better not slice this one" and promptly hit a massive hook (which is very rare for me) about 60 yards left which lands straight on the 7th green. With the group in front of us still waiting for us to play through, I now have to hit back onto the correct hole, but the group that are playing the 7th are looking for a ball in the rough, so I'm waiting for them to be done with that so I don't have to hit over their heads. By the time I get to the (correct) green I feel like I've been playing this hole for half an hour while being watched the whole time - and of course rush my three foot bogey putt and pull it an inch left of the hole. Terrific.

Leave for golf, new wedges arriving today

"Sorry we missed you" excuse me? You always leave safe in the agreed place? Back tomorrow? Oh do one read your own system. Safe place or any neighbour

Annoying

Some sellers have put a stop on DPD leaving items of a high enough value in a "safe" place..
I know GC4C has a limit of about 80 quid..any higher and they won't leave it.
I guess too many getting picked or people trying it on...

Weird thing is I checked the app this morning and it said any neighbour or leave safe

Unavailable to me was pick up from somewhere or delivery to another address

I've confirmed again leave safe but I had to say "I accept full responsibility"

I did have the option for another address tho

Possibly a glitch in their UI there but with DPD if there is blocks on deliver to another address or pick up then 99.9% that will apply to safe place. It's the retailer that specifies it.

I'm on the chat to them now they said sorry he ignored it as they can see it was there. Prob a glitch as you say. I'm just chancing my arm as I know they offer pick your slot for £10 so gonna see if they will let me have before 12 tomorrow as I'm going out and I could do with it arriving before I leave

Another 2 hours for 9 holes today.
Us, a 2 ball, behind what looked like a Greensomes KO match....
Nearly lost the will to live.....
Look...until you've had to play behind a mixed pairs scramble where, instead of the M/F partners sharing a buggy, the two men share one buggy and the two women share another buggy, you haven't experienced slow play pain.

Basically...avoid The Nottinghamshire, when they hold their Turkey Trot competition.

Ok now I'm even more annoyed, they apparently can't upgrade it but I can pay to upgrade it

Erm what? Your driver claims he couldn't find my safe place? Didn't see him go down the sideway .. why should I have to pay ?
