A friend of mine arrived for a game of golf and parked his PK trolley and matching bag full of Titleist woods, Ping irons and a Scotty outside the pro shop. It was a busy Saturday lunchtime, middle of summer so some were arriving and some were leaving.
He nipped into the changing to change his shoes. Came out 2 mins later and the whole lot had gone. Luckily, his insurance paid out.
On a different scale, another local club had the shop door smashed open and 45 secs later the shop was empty.
But on this occasion, the thieving scumbags were caught. They were based In Derby...50 miles away.
Sadly, nowhere is safe.
