After being deducted 25points for going into administartion Dundee are on fire just now,upto 5th in the league,the only bad result was a humping from Motherwell in the cup.

What should have been the reprimand then? Slap on the wrists for going into administration...... again?
That said if the HMRC case goes against Rangers and they go tits up you can bet your bottom pound note that the penalty will be a whole lot less severe!
Dundee are fortunate that they didn't get a Livy but that would have been harsh.

Some kind of punishment was needed but 25 points is a bit much no? Many of the players gave up their wages for the club,can't see that happening if it was an old firm team! 10 points should be the maximum.

Punishing them by deducting 25 points only harms the fans. The directors who put them there will all have buggered off somewhere else and have no regard for the towns or teams they have effected.

as usual its the fans who are punished not the directors. it would have been better to kick them out and ban them from moving onto another club then the sfa could put aministrators in to help get the club back on its feet

Done us a big favour by beating the wee team, shame we were unable to take advantage by only drawing away to Ross County but win our game in hand and we are top.
Not sure Dundee would be on the run they are if they hadnt had the points deducted as it seems to have given them a sense of injustice and they are out to prove a point, but we will never know.

Pay off all the debts to the likes of the Inland Revenue, local businesses etc and then you can stop bitching. Sorry but just because it is a football team does not mean you can welch on all your debts and just start again.

It serves St Mirren right for sacking MacPherson who never deserved top be booted out. He worked wonders with what little resources he had.

Going into administration had good point and bad points,local businness lost money ,i think they got 6p in the pound,some players lost there jobs,the good thing was getting rid of Chisholm and Dodds 2 total fannys.
Going back to some so called Premier teams there attendances are shocking Dundee average 4500 - 5000 every home game and take 1500 to most away games so to try and put them out of the league would have been financial madness for teams in the lower leagues.

I was defending the fans. If Motherwell were hit by a 25 point deduction I would have been pissed as well. What Bile did was wrong but it is still the fans club they are onlt temporary trustees.

I do go and support,sorry suffer my local team for your info Andy,twice in 2011 and 4 games in 2010.That'll be 6 in just over a year which I would hazard a guess may be more than double your contribution to the steelmens cause....
