as if pick your pro wasnt enough... here's another open comp for you

We want you to try and predict the number of bunkers that will be found by the players during the course of the four days at Royal St George's.

Since 1995 bunker related statistics have been kept by the BIGGA team, highlighting how many bunkers are found each day; which players have found most and fewest, daily and cumulatively, and which hole has claimed the most and fewest victims, daily and cumulatively. This info is posted in the media centre and we'll share it here

There will be daily prize winners on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and one overall winner

Note: Royal St George’s has 104 bunkers. In ’03 there were 106

Wow, interesting competition concept, I like it.

Here's a thought for anyone having a go, you'll find that if the weathers dry and fairways running there's more likelihood of a higher percentage of players reaching bunkers with all the undulations that gather in a running ball.

If they have the first 3 rounds and the total your guess for round 4 is obvious - total minus rounds 1 to 3.

Still a strange way to ask what your 4th round total is, why not just ask for rounds 1,2,3 and 4, then grand total.

Having looked at the entire field along with their driving accuracy and GIR, and then taking into account driving distance and the position of the fairway bunkers I'm quite happy that I have calculated the right number of bunkers that will be hit so will be e-mailing my guess, ahem, I mean calculation, over to Mike shortly.

What if your 4 individual figures don't add up to your grand total? At least this way, the figures pretty much have to add up.

If you look at the OP it clearly only asks for rds 1-3 and a total with prizes for thurs, Fri and Sat, NO mention of Sunday so I would say you are correct and prob the only entrant with 3 round guesses not 4.

However the op also says it's for the 4 rounds so I think it needs further clarification.
