Ryder Cup Winner
I'd keep it open to the board only. Not being funny but its not the same when the winner is someone's mate.
I too would vote for a change of name. 'King' is sexist in the context of the competition being open to both sexes.
I'm happy to organise the Scotland regional event again, (I'm already thinking Dukes or Eden) if others from the region want me to.
I have thought a lot about this and May is just too crazy a time for me next year to get fully involved in the comp. I'm happy to organise the Scotland regional event again, (I'm already thinking Dukes or Eden) if others from the region want me to.
So, we need some people to put their names in the hat, as many as we can get.
Please let me know if:
A) you're interested in taking overall control of the competition (as an individual or as part of a committee)
B) you're interested in running a regional event either on your own or with help from others.

If I remember right it was only the first 2 groups playing medal (each regions champ) the majority of us played stableford, it wasn't even like we where waiting on every hole. Just the course and weather both it tandem were brutal.
As a relative newbie I'm just happy to be playing new courses, and all that comes with a meet. So tell me where and when and pull the format out of a bag and I'll see you there regardless
I would go stableford, the next decision is whether it is full, 7/8th or 3/4 handicap. Personally i would go for 3/4.

"3.1/2 hour drive home to follow it."
Try my 7 hour drive home from last year and I only played with one forumer at Hillside so I felt proper miffed :mmm:
No I don't mind the drive, I combined it with work so my cost outlay was minimal. I can't remeber the forumer I played with but two visitors two. I'd rather know that I was travelling a long way to play with fellow forumers.
I think medal qualifier is fair enough just to filter out any chancers then 7/8ths Stableford for the final imo.
People travelling for the final wont need a week off then. It was a long day for me last year and I only live round the corner![]()
Remind us all of your hc again![]()
