The irony is several run "society handicaps" as they win to often but never think this is worth addressing at source.

That's because it's society golf - cuts are done within the society not using Congu rules , it's relaxed and a lot of times of yellows with gimmies.

Exactly, and some days you could win a society day out with what would be considered a poor score at your home club.

To many people seem to be under the impression that winning is the criteria for a cut.
