Some fair points in there, however, I still can't see anything happening. I can't imagine a lot of the more senior generation at my place be willing to take a handset out with them so they can be tracked!
As a senior golfer myself, I would be quite happy to carry a tracker, just to prove we are not slow. Rounds of golf during the week, when most of the players are retired folk, are always much quicker than when the weekend warriors come out to play at our club. But then we are of a generation when three to three-and-a-half hour rounds were normal, and less influenced by the lengthy pre shot routines of the tour pros, as seen on TV! The only answer in my opinion is to add penalty shots to any group, amateur or professional, that takes more than four hours to complete a round of competition/tournament golf!
