Anyone played it, whats the thoughts? They had a really good winter offer on all be it it's late now but hopefully the do it next year.

£159 from mid Oct to mid March, almost 6 months of golf including winter medals, no winter tees or greens.

Played it lots and like it.the 1st is tough, called the awakener if I'm not mistaken.Tough par 5.Greens are generally in good condition, can get a wee bit soggy down the bottom beside the pond, but overall, excellent value for money...a bugger of the wind gets up, though.
If it wasn't so out the way, they could charge quite a bit more imo.

65 miles for me but at £159 to get winter golf throughout including competitions is good value, i'd play out there probably 15 - 20 Sunday's for their winter stableford which is a handicap counting potentially a tenner a round.

Good value I reckon

I recon there's a lot better in the area than Whitekirk. It's a beast of a course at times and winter can only make it less enjoyable.

It's not a bad track for the money you pay not sure I would join it but they do have a few Open competitions on over the winter months. Played in a greensome open there a few weeks ago & there are a few opens on this month.

My thoughts was the sunday stableford that was all, given what we pay normally elsewhere 8 games and it's payed for really.

First club I joined - in 2001.

Good folk and reasonable course. Could be good value for that Winter rate but I'd opt for Nomad status myself - given dodgy weather!

Great course to skim visitors. I always warned folk that the front 9 has 2 par 3s and at least 1 blind shot on all the others!

Got a deal at Craigielaw when that course opened, so rarely went back to Whitekirk.

Have to say, i really enjoy Whitekirk. The deals in the summer are excellent too, 24 of us going in June for £46.50 a man, roll & bacon with coffee/tea, 18 holes, soup and sandwiches, another 18 holes the 2 course dinner. Normal price is only £56.50 and we got a £10 per person loyalty discount as went a few years ago. I think you would struggle to beat that deal to be honest.

i love the place ,the setting and the quirkiness off it, they have cut alot of the gorse back compared to a few years ago, when we go to north berwick and im running the trip its alway 1st on list, not an easy walking course but great in a buggy
