First medal win......and comp cut.......at last!!

You may have read my "Played MY best 2012" post on Monday. Well, it's taken a few days of me refreshing my inbox 50 times a day and logging into howdidido at least 10 times a day, but yesterday afternoon the pro's newsletter hit my mailbox with the news I'd been waiting for.....I did win Sunday's medal with a net 67 .

For some reason, howdidido is not getting updated (and still not this morning), despite me adding my scores to the system directly at the club last week. So last night I trekked down for a swift 9 holes and checked the system at club.......Great surprise......cut to 19.5.......and totally unexpected, having not won a medal before, found I had a £30 voucher waiting for me in the pro shop:thup:

In one sweet yet unsteady round, I manage to hit my target of beating 90 in a comp, get my first handicap cut in a comp, and win my first ever medal with prize money........happy days. Am now really looking forward to some warm sunny golf over the next 3 days.

Congratulations. It's a great feeling when you win your first medal. I won my first in January with a 3 stroke cut .8 by the computer and 2 by the handicap committee.(Never play in a comp with the captain!)

Well done, a warm fuzzy feeling indeed! Enjoy it and don't expect too much from your next couple of rounds just go out and enjoy them and the scores will take care of themselves
