Just a follow up to the original post. Now second cut of the season :whoo:

Played in competition today, teed off at 7.40 back in at 10.55, no messing about in our early morning rounds

First nine putting was fairly poor but still shot 45, exactly to my handicap of 17.
Back nine for the first seven holes was three over par and finished last two holes which are both par 4s with a 10 and a 3. Despite that abhoration at 17 managed a net 71, which will probably be 2 under CSSS which is usually 73.

The 10 will go back to a 7 and 5 under means 1.5 cut to 15.1 . :cheers:

Alan, i played this morning also, 86 gross net 70, CSS likely to be 70 but may have an adjustment as I had an 8 on a par 4, 46 out 40 in lost 7 shots in 2 holes and had 30 putts. Played solid today but it is a case of what might have been.

Stop the nonsense and I should do alright, 8 pars 8 bogeys, 1 treble bogey aft a loose tee shot costing me and 1 quadruple bogey out of nothing where my short game let me down bad by thinning an easy chip through the green.

Ouch, suppose that's why we have handicaps. At least there were plenty of positives to take from it and a probable cut as well. As long as we keep chipping away at the handicap it should come down in time.

Net 68 for me... Including a 10 and an 8 so expect 4 more shots to come off in the system... I think SSS will be around 70 today.

No comp for me today, good job.
Slicing or pulling drives, 12 out of 18 approach shots hit thin, when I did connect the divots pointed about 20° left and I missed right, and pretty much every putt pushed.

Still, tomorrow's another day

I had my first medal 2 weeks ago. 5 over for the last 6 for a gross 75 then the next week 2 over for the last 3 for a gross 73. Got cut to 4.7 and heading in the right direction. Now badly cut the tip of my finger at work, will try and venture out tomorrow for a few to see how it goes.

Already cut 4 shots off my handicap, so not putting any pressure on myself to get cut.

Gonna head out and try to enjoy playing with 2 new members.

I had a lovely 13 hour shift today, thanks for asking!

Roll up this morning. 38 points off the yellows for a comfortable 4th and no cash.

Then got soaked this afternoon trailing behind HID shopping.

Well I teed off Saturday at 140pm
Peeing down before we even get there, Galvins on, top + pants, Brolly up, 2 gloves ( Wilsons -- CRAP...!! )
Finished 2nd hole, brolly down, jacket off
Finished 6th Hole, jacket on, Brolly up
After 8th hole, MONSOON
Jacket and Brolly back off at 13th, then just got into clubhouse before heavens opened AGAIN

The result, a 0.1 Lift
Good Golf, but just COULD NOT Buy a PUTT.......!!!! :angry:

3 left on the edge
and 4 or 5 ended up bout 2-3 inches away
It could have been SO SO DIFFERENT
But it 'does my head in' when u give yourself all the chances, and cant convert, Bloody Putting, its a Game in itself

Was due to play again this morning, at my 2nd club, but its CLOSED, heavy waterlogging.....!!

Yesterday was due to be my first medal and hcap qualifying comp. Rocked up at the club at 7am and got ready every piece of waterpoof clothing i could find. Just put my hand on the door of the pro shop and the assistant pro came past telling me it was off Was absolutley gutted! Especially when 90 mins later the rain had stopped and the greens drained and the course was good to go!

Not one competition got cancelled over winter and now the real season is supposed be on first one gets called off! grrr
