Last couple of nights I watched
Jupiter Ascending (Prime)
Described as one of the biggest blockbuster flops and

incomprehensible nonsense

I had no trouble understanding it
I enjoyed it
It is just a load of escapist sci-fi with a lot of fairly funny acting and script.
Sometimes I do not want to be overburdened by deep and meaningful stuff late at night.

That's me ALL of the time. If it is a serious drama I'm not likely to watch it. I want to feel better after a movie, not worse. Give me things like The Mummy (Brendan Fraser), Galaxy Quest, Indiana Jones (although not the 2nd one), the new Star Trek movies.

If it’s shallow trite stuff you want, you might want to give the new Aquaman a go! We lasted 20 minutes 😄

I watched an older film yesterday on Netflix

The Hitman's Apprentice

Tim Roth doing his usual 'alright ' bit as the hitman
and
Peter Mullan doing the off the rails character

Enjoyable - watched it all the way through without getting up for a drink.

I didn't watch the first one, not likely to watch this one. But then again...I haven't been to the cinema for maybe 12? years. I just wait until they come out on Netflix or some other site.

Really hope it’s better than the reviews.
39% on rotten tomato 😬

1/10, bait and switch of the highest

Phoenix will win an award for his fine acting but the script was awful

Slow and boring. Too much singing

This is from me who sees the good in most movies. My mate wanted to walk out with an hour to go

They made so much promise with the first this just took a wrecking ball to that

How could they make such a mess of it?

Ok so lady gaga and phoenix acting was actually very good however they couldn't save the movie from the plot. See the spoilers below
2 hour 20 mins musical meets court room drama of "joker" being on trial for the murders of the last movie. 2 years later.

Film goes between court room and Arkham. That's it

The musical part would have worked if every song didn't drag on and slow down the pace of the movie

He finally breaks out of prison right at the end

Harley dumps him

He gets instantly caught

Back to prison

Stabbed to death

What the hell

Let that sink in. The joker never met batman.
