No time to die. 4 of us sat down to watch it. 2 loved, and 2 of us were bored rigid. I thought Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale was his best Bond movie, and agree that Craig was an excellent Bond in the style of how the author originally saw him.

Dune. Got half an hour/45 mins in to it yesterday. Gave up.

Wow, what a statement :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
But one I agree with.

As someone intimidated earlier, it just shows that films are incredibly personal. Just like music!
One man’s meat is another man’s gravy.

Back to films; I think Quantum of Solace was a far superior film to the overhyped Skyfall and Spectre. I also agree that Craig had been an excellent Bond.

One of my all time favourites that.

I genuinely love it. ?
I think that is the interesting part of this thread. People are not naming universally known rubbish films, they are sticking to the brief. Films that have have been bigged up, loved by many, but disappoint to them. It's easy to name obviously bad ones, this needs a little thought.

Hmm not familiar with that idiom. ?

Anyway for me I was very disappointed with Dunkirk, could not understand the hype.
After the fantastic Casino Royale every Bond since then has been a let down, not seen the latest but I’m not expecting much, tbh I struggle with very long films

Add to the above one from back in the day which I went to the cinema to see….. Blair Witch Project. One of the worst films I’ve ever seen.

I fully appreciate that, hell I think Top Gun and Dirty Dancing are some of the worst films ever made ?
It’s just the sentiment being portrayed in the post, not one I agree with.

I remember going to watch Blair Witch…the hype from the States was that people were fainting and throwing up in the aisles. I was really excited about it!
What a crock ?☹️?

It’s interesting reading people’s thought. Made me realise how much overhyped dross I’ve watched.

Didn’t like Dunkirk at the cinema but thought it might have been down to a badly balanced sound system. Tried watching it at home since. No it was dross.

1917. I persevered with but gave up with 20 mins to go. Since seen the last 20 mins… dross.

I watch very few new films these days.
I just like to stick to my favourites, and then try the odd new one. But they’re often a disappointment.

If a film starts to disappoint within the first half an hour I will very rarely watch it past that and in my lifetime there have been far too many films which met that criteria to remember them.

I’d agree on 1917. looked amazing but was filmed as a series of unfortunate events that resembled Murphy’s law ?

The most unlucky Tommy ever. Pretty dull I thought

Ok, head on the block time.
2001: A Space Odyssey.
Saw it as a kid when it first came out and it just confused me.
Watched it again a couple of years ago and it has not aged well. Unbelievably slow. Can't understand why it's so highly regarded.
I'd agree with this 100%.
Even now, I think WTF was that all about.
Crock of ....
