Best
Australia (Melbourne) great city

one of my old colleagues moved over to Australia this year with his missus.

Said Melbourne is miles ahead of Sydney. He was unsure where to reside when he moved over and they ended up deciding to stay there he enjoyed it that much!

Don't tell me that! Hopefully it's not too terrible. We stayed in Hinterglemm the last two years and there is just SO much piste to cover.

The resort we're staying in looks like mostly Reds and black runs, which should be good - but I do feel like we'll regret the decision to go there (although we did get a good deal!)...I'd have been happy to go back to Austria but the rest of the group voted to go elsewhere. Fancy getting a sneaky long weekend to Gressoney with another mate of mine at some point too.

I'm a huge fan of Austrian Skiing.... I just think they do it best. The best thing about Andorra is you can ski across and into each of the resorts which really fills the day. I also have a mate who has just bought a place in Andorra, he likes it that much...

I've travelled quite a lot for an under 30.

Best places I have ever been to are Cape Town, Sydney, West Coast of Florida and most of Italy. Love Barcelona too, and Berlin. Fortunate enough that my parents have a villa on Lake Como, so have used that over the last 5 years as a base to travel Italy - best places there are Rome, Cinque Terre and Siena.

Worst places I've been - Canary Islands (can't stand a 'holiday in a box') and in Italy Pisa (just awful!!) and wasn't fussed on Venice.

I've heard this area mentioned and had it reccomended before, is it easy to get to? Whats the nearest airport?

Yea, that's one of the things that persuaded us to go there after 2 years at the Ski Circus as there's nearly 200km of pistes, so you don't have to do the same runs twice (although you always find your favourites)...

As long as there's some decent snow, and there's beer available in the evening, that should be fine!

This very much depends on what you want from your travels.

The USA is a huge place and the people/culture vary greatly, Florida is very tourist orientated and can be very shallow, however great weather and fun for children. The East Coast cities are great if you like more modern attractions, Chicago is a great city and edges out NYC in my opinion. When you go anywhere in the USA you must remember that you will most likely encounter Americans, who are not like us.

I love Italy, the people, buildings, culture, food, weather love it all.

Australia was great although my knowledge limited to the big cities, great people and lifestyle.

Japan, not for me, I found it really hard work, but we were up country with no English spoken or written.

Singapore - nice

Malaysia - nice

Spain - good for a quick break

France - lovely but see USA and substitute French people.

In summary, row your own boat and see what you think. Have fun and wear sunscreen.

Ooo nice, where's their villa? We were on Lake Como a couple of months ago.

Hope i'm that well travelled in my next 7 years as an under 30 mate!

Whereabouts did you go on the West Coast of Florida? Last time we went Florida we did a week in Sarasota which was just paradise, probably my favourite week of holiday going.

In terms of the Canary Islands i've had some really good times over there. Me and the missus went Corralejo in Fuerteventura last year and loved it although it's definitely only a holiday for a week!
Also went to Tenerife a few years ago and stayed on the Costa Adeje and loved it, thought it was a great place!

Yeah I had some good times as a kid in the Canaries, they're just not for me now, not enough variety in the holiday and find the restaurants bang average.

The Florida Keys are gorgeous and Naples is a great city - definitely look into heading out West next time you're there!

It's not the easiest to get to, I would think the nearest airport is Pisa. Absolutely stunning though, and a real must visit. We tagged it onto our Sicily tour which is obviously highly recommended!

We did loads in Fuerteventura last year and went to some of the nicest restaurants we've ever been, just gotta look in the right places ;)

we definitely will mate, grandparents have been Naples a lot and love it there.

US, in order:-

New York
Philadelphia (America's original capital) and they had a temporary Bruce springsteen exhibition on at the time.
Chicago - great museums.
Washington (couldnt get in the Pentagon, FBI building or white house due to 911), although our 1999 guide said you could.:(
Boston - stayed in Salem and Plymouth and went into Boston for the day each time, but dont know if there is more than 3-4 days interest there, or not.

Want to do San Fran, LA, Vegas and possibly New Orleans.

Dont fancy Florida, havent got kids, so dont see the attraction.

Europe - Madrid is better than Barcelona, Seville is great.
Had 2 weeks in Normandy last year, one of our best holidays. Carcasonne and Avignon are good for city breaks, as is Paris.
Sorrento was beautiful, a Venice/Florence holiday was a cracker. Still want to do two weeks in northern Italy, 1 in the lakes and 1 seeing Ravenna/Bologna/Verona.
Prague was good, Budapest (just got back today, was fantastic).

Moscow has lots to see and do, just dont get kidnapped by the police and battered by hooligans, whilst your there.

Havent done Scandinavia, but fancy a long break doing Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Holidays I still fancy:-

1. The ashes in Australia, maybe 2-3 of the tests.
2. The lions in SA with a safari also.
3. Egypt and Jerusalem.
4. Doing a tour of the "weird" states of Europe. Drive to Andorra, down to Monaco, across to San Marino,up to Liechtenstein and finish in Luxembourg, possibly in a camper van. The IOM can wait.
5. Baltic cruise including St.Petersburg.

We've been doing the Uk for the last 6-7 years and have had great new year and summer hols in Inverness, Fife, Cornwall, Whitby, , peak district, Norfolk, Kent, Northumberland and the lakes. We have a lot more than people give us credit for. We also live in a great place, and doing Fort William later in the year.

I go here in October mate, you have a good time & any recommendations?

Brilliant time.

Depends on what you like - I love history, the missus art.

The terror museum - what they lived through, naziism as well as Communism.
The Hungarian national museum.
The Parliament.
Night-time cruise with dinner.
The great Synagogue.
The baths
The nightlife was so chilled and relaxing, even mediterranean, although 25-30 degree heat helps.

Me and the missus went for a "dining experience" at the new york restaraunt, the dining salon. A G-astronomical cost, but absolutely loved it.http://www.newyorkcafe.hu/budapest-must-see.html#

The cafe is equally as decorative, but the food and the overall ambience in the restaraunt was a memorable evening.

we're literally 100 meters away from that New York restaurant, bit of a budget break for us due to going away at the end of this month and I have a stag do the weekend before!

Booked a night cruise dinner for the missus birthday and an afternoon at the baths.

Any other restaurants you went that you can recommend?

Favorites:
Greece (esp. some of the lesser known islands like Skopelos, Samos, Ikaria, Skyros etc.)
Scotland (esp. the west coast and the Outer Hebrides)
Exmoor (I could name many other places in England as well, but somehow I liked Exmoor best, because it has so many different kinds of landscape mixed together in a relatively small area. Great for hiking/cycling).
Malta
Canada (British Columbia and Newfoundland were my favorites)

Could probalby list many more places. I can't recall many places I really disliked or was disappointed with. Paris and London both did not do much for me, but that's mostly because I don't like big cities much. And for some odd reason I was never very fond of Edinburgh, when I visited it. Too crowded.

Also, when I was at Islantilla on the Costa de la Luz this spring, I was a bit disappointed with the area. It was just one of those ugly artificial resort places in the middle of nowhere, and the landscape was a bit of a letdown as well. The golf course was great, though, and that was mostly what I was there for, so it did not bother me much. But not a region I would want to go to for something other than golf.

Oh, and most of the German North Sea coast is dead ugly. Mostly a huge dam that separates the dullest, flattest landscape you can possibly imagine from an equally flat and dull plain of brown mud that magically turns into the sea twice a day... but never when you want to go to the beach. The Baltic Sea coast is much nicer.

I'd say look at the new york palace cafe, although havent seen the prices for the cafe. Their right next to each other, only separated by a glass panel.

Painted ceilings, a fella tinkling on the ivories.......she's worth it.

Lots more to Florida than Disney matey, don't knock it..........genuinely. Im sure the 200+ golf courses could keep you entertained ;)

Some beautiful towns and cities in Florida away from Orlando. Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Sarasota, Naples, Miami, the Keys and thats before you start looking up around the panhandle.
