Favourite Travel Destinations

America.
fave in order, Boston, Las Vegas, Florida.
shithole, NY, getting robbed by employees of Waldorf Astoria whist staying there did not help endear me to the City.

Europe.
Fave in order, Italy (to many places to mention), joint second Portugal, Germany, Greece, Belgium, Holland,
Shithole Turkey.

Rest of the world.
Joint first, Kenya, Maldives, Mexico, Sri Lanka, 2nd, Jamacia, Dominican rep.
Egypt was disappointing.

what has helped to make our travels is the people we have met from said country's, the country's that have scored low said people were not very nice.

Missis T decided eventually week lest Saturday to put pins in the country's we have been to on the world map in the garage. She has put 48 pins in it. Some country's have been visited numerous times.

Best ever holiday.
kenya. Safari was amazing, bought me Tsavorite from there haggling with a guy for a 25 th anniversary pressie for Missis T, loved Sri Lanka as well. Had a ride on an elephant called Tamari or summat like that aka princess. I was sat on her head feeding her apples. She had dog breath. Bloody hell how could I forget Mauritius and slab. Best golf courses I have ever played and will ever play.

Hoping Sunday's trip to the Emerald Isle lives up to expectations.

Favourites:

Barcelona
Lake Garda and Verona
Lake Como
San Sebastian (Spain)
Guernsey
Gibraltar
Dingle Peninsula (Ireland)
Lugano (Switzerland)

Didnt like:

Jersey
Cornwall

Loved Mauritius, like the Caribbean without the American influence. Mexico was great fun, Thailand is just mad as cheese, loved them all. Used to love Northern Cyprus but getting a bit too built up now. Love most of France, love the food, love the wine.

I love travelling to the US and any time I think holiday my first place to check is the US.

Favourite is NY, love the place and heading back on Saturday for my 6th visit. Closely followed by Boston which is just a stunning place to visit. I've been going to Orlando every year for the last 10 and it has all we need for holidays, food, beer, weather and golf. Vegas is just mental, probably had my favourite holiday there recently. Have also visited Chicago and Savannah in the US. Heading in September visiting Miami and San Diego.

In Europe I can say I haven't been to many, Paris was a surprise as to how much I enjoyed it despite my first visit being THAT weekend last November. Loved Rome but of all the City's i've visited one of my favourites was Galway on the Irish West Coast, magic place. Heading to Italy again between Christmas and New Year.

I can't talk my Mrs to going east, no interest in the middle or far east and feels Oz is just too far for 2 weeks.

Bucket list holiday for me is 6 weeks in New Zealand whilst the Lions are on tour.

Vancouver is a good shout - only spent a day there, but a great city.

Whistler is AMAZING in the Summer, so I can only imagine what it's like during Ski Season.

Few places I missed:

Jamaica - great place for a holiday and game of golf or 6. The White Witch is the hardest golf course you'll ever play.

Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland - Only visited in the summer, but an absolutely amazing part of the world. The train ride up to the top of Jungfrau is one for the bucket list.

Hinterglemm/Saalbach, Austria - I love Austria in general (both Vienna and Salzburg are great), but this is one of my favourite places to ski as it's a massive resort. Some great views on a sunny day. Andorra has a lot to live up to this year.

Salzburg Sportwelt is better skiing than Andorra by a country mile.... Although Pas and Soldeau have top nightlife....

I'm luck to have seen a fair bit.
My favourite place I have ever need is San Fransisco... Could easily live there. Just an amazing city.... In Europe, I keep going back to Barcelona. It has everything, beach, city vibe, tourist attractions and if you venture out, great off the beaten track bars and restaurants....
Off to Sorrento on Friday and Reykjavik Is next on the list next year.

Favourites

Canada, especially Vancouver & Victoria Island, didn't want to come home from Vegas. Barcelona, Munich, Silberhutte, Ibiza town, Bulgaria, great times. I sailed across the Baltic, hard work but a fantastic experience.

Dislikes

All of France, love some of the places I've visited, just can't stand the people, hate Belgium also.

The above were personal travel visits, not forces, that would be a whole different list!

Prague,
Paris,
Barcelona,
South of France,
Algarve,
But absolute favourite, the West Highlands, particularly Skye,
Never done the USA. Don't fancy Florida at all tbh but the West Coast, Oregon, Washington state etc is what I'll be aiming for when I do.

Can't say I dislike anywhere I've been really. Cost Del Sol is distinctly average but I keep going back.

Rome, Venice, Sorrento and Sicily. Not sure which order... probably put Sorrento last. Enjoyed northern Germany and Sweden. Not fussed on Northern France, especially Paris, but like south west France. Portugal away from the Algarve is very nice, love Spain from Cartegena down to Granada.

Never been to the US coz according to HID they shoot people over there.

Don't tell me that! Hopefully it's not too terrible. We stayed in Hinterglemm the last two years and there is just SO much piste to cover.

The resort we're staying in looks like mostly Reds and black runs, which should be good - but I do feel like we'll regret the decision to go there (although we did get a good deal!)...I'd have been happy to go back to Austria but the rest of the group voted to go elsewhere. Fancy getting a sneaky long weekend to Gressoney with another mate of mine at some point too.

I've travelled quite a lot for an under 30.

Best places I have ever been to are Cape Town, Sydney, West Coast of Florida and most of Italy. Love Barcelona too, and Berlin. Fortunate enough that my parents have a villa on Lake Como, so have used that over the last 5 years as a base to travel Italy - best places there are Rome, Cinque Terre and Siena.

Worst places I've been - Canary Islands (can't stand a 'holiday in a box') and in Italy Pisa (just awful!!) and wasn't fussed on Venice.

I'm luck to have seen a fair bit.
My favourite place I have ever need is San Fransisco... Could easily live there. Just an amazing city.

With you on that, San Francisco and Toronto are the only two places I've been on holiday where I've thought I could happily live here, San Francisco probably my favourite place of those I've visited, absolutely loved it.

West Coast of America (parts of LA excepted!) is probably my favourite.
Vancouver, Victoria Island, Toronto and Montreal in Canada
Mexico, Seychelles or Maldives would be my choice for a sunshine/AI holiday with the Mrs
Vegas if you want a bit (a lot!) of surrealism out of a holiday!!
Melonaras in Gran Canaria - was recommended this place and went this year having never heard of it before, perfect for us and the kids, loved it and will be going back
Madrid, Seville, Florence or Rome for a city break in Europe
Boston for a city break in US, haven't done NY yet
Any of the coasts and/or Islands in Scotland are absolutely beautiful, particularly the West
Devon is another favourite of mine in the UK

Haven't done Florida yet but a Disney trip is on the radar with the kids in the near future........ Although thinking about doing West Coast and Disney in Anaheim.

Havana, what a city.

Least favourite, dunno I've always enjoyed my holidays. Ocho Rios in Jamaica was pretty rough like.

It just looks that way - due to there not being much money for anything other than the resorts...but it's actually a really great place. My sister lived there for 5 years. The locals are awesome.

Hope i'm that well travelled in my next 7 years as an under 30 mate!

Whereabouts did you go on the West Coast of Florida? Last time we went Florida we did a week in Sarasota which was just paradise, probably my favourite week of holiday going.

In terms of the Canary Islands i've had some really good times over there. Me and the missus went Corralejo in Fuerteventura last year and loved it although it's definitely only a holiday for a week!
Also went to Tenerife a few years ago and stayed on the Costa Adeje and loved it, thought it was a great place!

I'm fortunate enough to have been to a fair few countries - the joys of a wife that loves to go on holiday.

Europe:
Italy - Milan, Como, Sorrento, Venice, Rome, Naples
Spain - Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and the usual Benidorm, Torromolinos, Ibiza, Majorca and Menorca + All Canary Islands
Africa - Egypt, Morrocco
France - Paris, Nice, Monaco
Portual - Lisbon, Faro
Others - Berlin, Prague, Brussels, Brugges, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Dusseldorf

USA:
NYC, Orlando, Miami, San Francisco, LA, Vegas, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, San Diego

Canada:
Vancouver and Whistler (in Winter)

Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam,

Fortunate enough that my family live in Australia, so have spent a fair bit of time over the years travelling the country and covered every city, plus the usual tourist bits like the barrier reef and ayers rock etc

Also spent 4 weeks touring New Zealand - both islands.

I'm sure there is more that i've missed :o and of all of the places i've been around the world the only time i have ever seen myself living somewhere is New Zealand - i was genuinely sad to get on the place home.

The worst places have to be Morrocco and Egypt - hate being hassled on holiday and its non stop.

Best
Australia (Melbourne) great city
North West Scotland (just drop dead gorgeous)
I don't think I'm allowed to count Mauritius since I have to work but it would be on the list otherwise (golfing heaven)
Loved it when we used to take last minute 5 day breaks in Spain's Costa region (very cheap & very cheerful)

Worst
Gibraltar (fractured spine)
