Ever had your clubs driven over? !!

I wasn't there but I cant see how it can be anything other than the van drivers fault. If theres something in the way you just cant drive over it.

What if it was a person bent down tying their shoelace?

The clubs should not be left on the floor of the car park, if it was my van i would be taking it to a garage and if there was any damage i would be claiming off the person would left them on a car park floor
That's right. Because as a driver you are allowed to drive over anything in your path without fear of recrimination. Also, all that stuff about looking where you are going and driving with due care and attention is a load of nonsense.

Ignoring markgs's daft comments, the consensus seems to be that this is mainly the van drivers fault, although my friend should have laid clubs closer to car. In her defence, there were two of them loading their stuff into the one boot so it would have been difficult to keep two (slim) women, two trolleys and two bags close to car and still had room to manoevre.

Any comments of whether integrity of shafts (graphite) will have been compromised? They look ok, but I can see how a bag full of graphite clubs can be driven over by a van and be untouched.

This post cracked me up!!!.... I think I need to go play on WRX or something, surly it cant be as bad as this...

This must win the prize for the most unlikely thread to become contentious out of nowhere!!

VERY out of left field!

I'd be inclined to seek professional advice from the manufacturer as to whether the structure of the shafts can be checked?

I wonder what the response would have been if it had been a bloke who got his clubs driven over?

It would surely have been a woman driver!

Well Markgs has already suggested that one is more likely to get one's clubs run over by a lady reversing than by White Van Man.

Thankfully most of the members on here are very welcoming to us wimmin

Tell me... was this the guy who started another big whooo harrr in a thread a few days ago about tee heights?

And with 2 women loading...

I remember an Ian Fleming quote about the 'danger' of 2 women being in a vehicle - and of the greater danger of 4 - and why! My ho things have moved on!

I should hope - banter aside, some of which can be mis-interpreted - this statement, while hopefully correct, is redundant. And that there's really no difference in the 'welcome'!

Nope! Re-read this 4 times, still don't understand it

To be fair that was a legitimate question.

White van man clearly a muppet for running over an inanimate object in this case though. As pointed out already it easily could have been a person who had fallen over or collapsed.

It totally was but the guy went off at a few people in a pretty aggressive way!

Where theres blame theres a claim. New shinies with the compo? (ducks for cover)

The sad thing is my mate has been playing with the same tatty old clubs for years, and earlier this year finally went out and bought herself new driver and woods, and has been playing really well with them. She loves them!
