I had a Mac Burrows 64* blob wedge (Burrows, how appropriate) and after yet another turfing session I decided the only way to prevent me from trying it again was to break it so walking up to the green meant I had to pass the ladies tee on the next hole so I smashed the club into the red concrete marker which split in two and never marked the bl00dy club.

I gave it away !!!!!!!

Plenty. I am better now, as it mellows with age, but I still need to let off steam occasionally. I don't think I have broken anything in the last couple of years, but I have snapped clubs in the past, thrown them (lost a putter in a tree once, had to wait for a windy day to knock it down). I try to apply the ten pace rule. This is great, providing you topped it more than 10 paces.

I am with J_F on this, I play at a gentle simmer most of the time.

Saw a guy on the course today get into a real strop when he topped his ball into the pond. Problem was he forgot two cardinal rules:
1. always throw your club in the direction you're playing
2. check where the club will end up

Yep, in the pond. Did his strop get real then!

Being a Libran, as you would expect I am very well balanced - ha, ha, ha.

As I'm rather prone to missing greens, I do quite a bit of ball searching in the undergrowth to the side of and behind greens. My tally to date is a lob wedge 30 yds left of the green (quite understandable I may add) and a sand wedge 15 yds behind the green.
