Simple goals for me in my first really serious season.

(1) Keep the same ball for a round - COMPLETED (I've never done this before - ball is now attached to my golf bag as a reminder what I can do!)
(2) Qualify for the grand Final from my monthly league - COMPLETED
(3) Become confident with the driver - FAILED!

So not bad.

A big no from me. My driver woes have destroyed my game in the last couple of months. The more I tried to fix if the worse it got. Went for a lesson yesterday and it was sorted in two minutes.
I thought it was going wrong with my back swing position and had been dithering on the tee thinking about it. Turns out I was 'casting out' instead of hitting down into the ball. Tomorrow all will be fine. :)

Not a great year to be fair...wins were mainly pair comps; wasnt carried by my partner it is just I think its less pressure and I play better golf

Achieve lowest h'cap ever of 19.0 but started at 19.4 so thats no achievement

Won a board com (pairs)

Had fun though and played prob most I've ever done ... call it a C

A season of highs and lows for me....

Most 0.1's x 7

Got pasted in most of my oom matches

Understandably got dropped from the club team (2pts / 5 matches)

Been very inconsistent with my swing and my iron play has been poor.

But....

As always i have loved my golf this yr

Joined an awesome club as a country member

Had a few awesome trips and away games with the NW boys....Scotland, Alwoodley, Wentworth to name a few

Shot my best ever comp round (1 over)

Achieved my lowest evet h/cap of 7, mainly due to 3 really decent rounds

On enjoyment, definately A++++++
On results probably C as i was very very incosistent

I've hit my main goal - cutting my handicap from 17.5 to 15.5. Every part of my game has improved except for putting...

Woods - light years better. Driver slice disappeared. Fairway wood going straighter and further.

Enjoyment - has increased as my game has got more solid. Have played some wonderful courses for the first time - Murcar, Cruden Bay, Aberdeen, Fraserburgh, PGA Catalunya - and done myself justice at all of them.

Can't wait till next year! It's a real winter break here in Austria so the wait for the new season always seems interminable!

Poor season for me started on 16.7 ended on 18.4, but had my best ever score of 81 also a 85 on away courses, played 8 different courses over a two week period in July enjoyed every one even Cooden in the rain.

Highlight was playing Trump with my son and scoring 93 which was very pleasing.

I didn't quite reach my target of 9.9. I finished on 10.0, so very close but no Cigar, for the first time I have had a ridiculous amount of 0.1s (over a dozen) it gets harder to buffer when your zone reduces. I have played below handicap 6 times was enough to get a reasonable 1.9 cut.
The highlights of the season were my first round with nothing less than a bogey in it. Winning the Nahum Cup an historic open at Manchester, and right at the end of the season winning the Northern final of the Algarve ladies pairs to get the trip to Portugal.

Sadly not even close :(

Spent this year (from April) as Mens captain, and my game has gone all over the place :(

having 'courtesy golf' of many other courses during my captaincy, I have used it once! and now the winter season is upon us, i fear that I will get very little use of it.

I guess disenchanted is my feeling at the moment, but i hope this will change very soon.

Still loving being Junior Organiser though!!!

I've spoken to many captains at our place over the years and they say it's actually a three year commitment, being vice, the captain and then the following year finishing off committee matters, helping the new guy settle in etc so I wouldn't worry about the form. It will return. Shame about not using the courtesy rounds though. Might be worth seeing if any will give you a carry over. Don't ask don't get and chances are you'll only do it once!

If I was giving myself a grade it would be C.

I started the season slowly due to 6 weeks out with a shoulder injury between Feb and April, meant I couldn't play or practice so was pretty much playing catch up with those that had played all winter without injury etc.

I won my first club comp, a matchplay knockout, so that exceeded one target I'd set myself (to win a matchplay match after a couple of years of trying!). Also ended up winning a few of our Rabbits friendlies and finishing 2nd in all bar two of the others.

I've played more golf than before, played some great courses and I know my game is definitely getting better, so yes, I suppose I've met most of my targets with just a medal win and handicap cut through a weekend comp that I've missed. I'm sure that's something I can keep as a target for next year though!

Great to read everybody's assessments of their seasons, good luck to everyone for the winter and 2016.

Had nothing but a steady increase all year. After ending last year on a bad note health issues pretty much killed this year. I think the golf has finally turned a corner now and although I didn't score well today, I started hitting the ball like the old socks, so we live in hope for 2016

Started the season at 18 (17.9) with the goal to get to 14, and also to post a competition win this season.

Have ended the season on 12 (11.6) so not only met my target but smashed it by at least 0.9; also won a two-round weekend comp that is considered one of our season's 'majors' as well as rack up a series of divisional podium finishes, and reached the final of the 'C'-division championship.

Part of the winning Glencorse Texas Scramble Open team as well. :)

Been a great season for me, and I reckon I'm worth a solid A ... a mid-season slump that saw 4 NRs in 5 comps prevents a A+.

I can add runner-up in the handicap Order Of Merit to the list.. :)

Reduced my handicap from 13.7 to 10.5, although currently at 10.8

total of 7 cuts, 2 board comp wins and one more opportunity in this Sunday's trophy winners championship.

played in a few club matches and have 'got involved', as a match organiser.

Most importantly I've played lots of golf and enjoyed it a great deal

so lots of boxes ticked, and I'd give myself a solid B.

would have been better if I hadn't had a 6 week attack of the unmentionables in the middle of the year.

Tied for first in the trophy winners champs today, and another cut to 10.6, so I'm now giving myself a B+.

Got an 18 hole playoff as a result, if I win that I'm going A-
