There, I said that George Burley was the best (I didn't really, I said he was a useless Scottish ****) but it appears that we are about to bolster our youth policy with none other than Edgar Davids!! Hope he is better than as a pundit in the World Cup tv!

Quality player, he was adored by us yids when we had him at the lane.

Not sure it is a great signing. I don't think he'll get the time in the Championship to play and influence games. I stand to be proved wrong

It'll be on a 'pay as you play' basis which I'm glad about - if it happens.

He's 37 and hasn't played for two years. I'm not expecting miracles from him but, his experience will be invaluable to the Eagles.

Also, it prepares us nicely for CL football.....

I don't think he will. He's on a pay as you play deal so both parties are happy. He's got LOADS of experience which the other players and the manager can tap into. Plus, if he does perform then he'll boss the midfield and provide inspiration to our younger players.

Neil Danns was 'tweeting' today that he can't believe Davids has signed for the Palace.
