Driver fitting today and the winner is..........

Tried the cally extreme this morning could get it of the ground far to stiff shaft for me also had the X Hot out in stiff shaft and although i've had it out before i hit it well, real well:)

We have a winner...

The Callaway X hot pro 9.5 with a project X 6.0 pxv stiff shaft.

Ive never even hit a Callaway driver before and this one won hands down.

It was a bit of a sup to be as i had not even con a Callaway.

2nd was the ballz deep with 240 of carry and 3000 rpm of spin.

The callaway came in at 255 carry and never more the 2500 spin, felt the best of the face and ball flight is pretty good.

it will be getting its first outing in a comp in the morning, liked the 3 wood too so that may find it's way into the bag too;)

on numbers the world seems divided between the X-hot or RBZ ranges; one works for some etc

it may be head factors, but I'm also inclined to think that in testing there will generally be different shafts available for them both - and they are both 'hot'!

Does it go straight? I haven't seen any dispersion figures mentioned, the most important stat in my book.

I trust you are actually buying THAT club rather than one of the 'same' spec!

I did tried one with a stiff shaft, terrible , hardly went any distance at all for me . Far to much spin , in fact my broken faced driver still went further. Miles in the air and no roll.

Think that's the 1st negative I've heard for the G25 range.
One mans meat is another mans poison i suppose.

I tried out a lot of 3 woods this week and the winner was x hot. I did not buy it as it was 50 pounds more than the rbz stage 2 but that was a really nice club

x hot pro is very favourable with the pro's- sits very nicely at address- I'm still loving my old Callaway steelhead 4+ so might try this club when I can, all down to the shaft I suppose

Strange world. I tried the x hot driver after I tried and loved the fairway wood, and couldn't hit it with any less spin than 3k.

With the xtreme and my own d2 I was 2,500-3,000

That's a damn good carry, do you remember what your ss was?

Most were between 102 and 105.

Used it today with pretty good results, only 3 fairways missed out of 13 where the driver was used. it was very windy day today 25 mph Plus. to say Putted bad, would be an uderstatement:(

The driver gave a very good flight, couldn't say for sure on the distances other than on both the par 5's on the wayin were both driver and 9 iron, but more wind assisted than anything.

Playing in the Moray league on Sunday so will see how she performs under pressure.

Hope you took the spec to American golf and got a free hybrid...
