Do you have many ignorant "members" at your club?

Have one real Jeckyl and Hyde character at ours. Nice to you one day completely ignores you the next. Played with a bloke on Sunday who wasn't rude but very quiet. Hardly uttered a word the whole way round. Answered any questions asked but in as few words as possible.

If the majority are a problem then it's more than likely you. I'm not saying it's you specifically but certainly something about you that isn't fitting with the mindset of the majority at the club. I'd be looking to join somewhere else.

Hmm never considered that, maybe I'm the complete tool and everyone is avoiding me.
My regular PP must be a massive tool as well, now that does put things in a different perspective :D

Are you at Chester Le Street Martyn?

Played it yesterday..very nice track, greens were excellent, nearly as good as Seaham's where I played a week ago.

Well the lads in frront of us and behind us were fine..but they like us were visitors from other clubs.

In the bar 3 sets of gents were sitting and none of them spoke to us,they seemed like members as the bar staff new them.

Our course use to be quite bad for older guys in cliques and being snobbish but not now, i thought.
Until only this morning out on the course, we both said good morning to a stranger playing a couple of holes behind us.
He completely ignored us put his head down and walked on . We were quite took aback

He probably thought you were coming onto him, did you wink as well;)

Yeah mate, there's some really nice people there but unfortunately they seem to be in the minority, too many are just too far up their own @rses or feel they are far too important to make the effort to say hello.
The classic was a month or so ago. Guy who is well known at the club hits his shot left onto our fairway, we're both walking past each other and I look at him and say "hi", he looks straight past me with almost stoned looking eyes and completely ignores me. My PP was next to me and we couldn't help but burst out laughing well within his earshot

Maybe the fact that on a public forum you post the club you play at,have your full name on your profile and say that some members are up their own backsides does not endear you to some members!;)

Most people at my club are very friendly, sadly we are part of a hotel and they have no interest in the atmosphere between members.

However a friend of mine wanted to play in the midweek a month ago and was but himself so he went on the putting green waiting for some people to show, a few two and three balls went out and none of these would let him join them.

Touche

Takes all sorts , glad to say they are few and far between at my home club , i am a guy who blag a refund for 8 green fees at the old course at vilamoura then done the same to get a ticket to the Portugal masters last week and i still come across a few so if there are lots at your club then it could be time for a change
