People who leave tees in the ground, or even worse, push them into the surface of the teeing area. Just lazy and rude😡

People who chuck a flag into the hole so that it is not centred for those who follow.

Those who practice wedge play on the course and leave several divots together.

People who don't know the rules but claim they do. Have made a few quid off these numpties though.

This thread is good therapy. 😃

Rules for the sake of rules. Outdated rules that might have been relevant to something 100 years ago, but somehow live on out of some intangible concept called 'tradition'. Not rules of the game, but rules like; thou must not change thy shoes in the car park, thou must not wear thy hat indoors, thou must wear short white socks or long colourful ones with shorts, thou must tuck one's shirt in, etc etc etc. Rules that have absolutely no basis in modern society, it cannot even be explained why they first existed and yet they endure like a stubborn turd that won't flush.

Some rules are daft, I have no issues with changing shoes in the car park for example, but others you have mentioned I’m in support of.

Hats shouldn’t be worn indoors, and shirts should be tucked in. Anthony Kim had his shirt untucked last week and IMO he just looked a mess.

Golf is traditional, it’s (slowly) moving with the times, so I tend to struggle when people take up the game and pay little respect to its traditions.

Long par 3's, particularly any over 190yds although 180yds is still pushing it. They are just dull, don't test shorter iron play and are lazy design.

You are looking at them the wrong way.

They are not testing your short iron.

The test is 'let's just call it a longer club' as it could be anything for differnt players.

The challenge is how to make a par and move on.

I find changing shoes in a car park disappointing. I'm OK with untucked shirts though.🤷‍♂️

You don't need to wear your hat indoors because in all probability there are no woodpeckers in the bar ;)

People who are living in the past and don't think that golf should move forward.

Long socks.

Not being able to remove your jacket until the captain says you can.
Never heard this one 😂
If I wore a jacket I’d remove it when I wanted to 😂
