Cutting a dog leg

No Shaun, the 10th, I have seen it twice, slicing the ball over the trees and over the river on to the centre of the 11th fairway, then hitting on to the 10th green.
 
I know the one, have to say from memory I cant see how you would know if the fairway is clear. If it is not this should be an internal OOB

We have one at our place for a similar reason, however they are going to remove the stakes and allow you to play into the rough of the next hole, very dangerous, could easily be someone there and you would not know, this is not a popular choice with all the members.
 
We had a problem when the course first opened with people going back down the 14th when playing the par 5 15th and they put an internal out of bounds in. However it was taken out again a few years back. A few, including several low single figure players still go that route as it gives a shorter line in. Providing players play with due care I have no problem cutting dog legs or finding the best route
