Matlock’s okHi, how was Matlock? I'm looking at that for the lads Golf trip
I only played it off the winter tees, so it was very short and therefore I don’t think I got a proper picture of the course. Also, what did you think of lindrick. Personal fav if mine
I always preferred Bondhay over Worksop.I forgot, I also played Worksop.
Interesting course but in very poor condition when we were there.
What two were they?18 for me, I think, as I don’t keep records.
Only four new ones, two I hope to never have to play again.
Sidmouth - a couple of decent holes, but overall just too hilly for my liking. We played it early in the season when the fairways were still holding. I imagine when they are baked hard the ball just runs down the hill and into the rough. Also, the day we played was really misty so we couldn’t even see the views. What two were they?
Having played them both and Weston a few times and recently, couldn’t agree more.Sidmouth - a couple of decent holes, but overall just too hilly for my liking. Weston Super Mare - I was expecting a links course. Not sure what it is but it’s not my idea of what a links course should be.
Matlock is very hilly. OK if you're fit, or you have a buggy. I'm a fat knacker and played it on a day when the temperature was over 30 degrees!Hi, how was Matlock? I'm looking at that for the lads Golf trip
Same here, even though my numbers for this year were pitiful. Was just nice to get consistently out at my own club! With the cost of green fees, travelling and overnight accommodation only going one way I can see my numbers getting smaller.
There are an awful lot of courses charging way above their real value
Dunscar, that is an odd course, what did you think?27 for me including 4 new ones, Bramhall, Dunscar, Chapel en le Frith and Brookdale.
I probably play my own course on average 3 or 4 times a week as well, the joys of being retired.55 courses? Very impressive. But why bother with membership? Good lord I don't think I've played 55 times at my place in 12 months.
thats the beauty of opens, particularly ladies opens, even the dearer ones arent too bad, I played Fulford & Enville both for £30, Beau Desert & Little Aston £40 eachWith the cost of green fees, travelling and overnight accommodation only going one way I can see my numbers getting smaller.
