Apologies in advance for repeating a well known tale of woe!

On Saturday I broke 80 for the first time ever, hitting 78 around Mountain Ash (par 69 - still my best round ever though) in a charity golf day. Although a short course, with pretty flat greens, and little trouble, I was still excited, and made me pretty hopeful of recording a good score on Sunday in the June Medal.

I started well, but ended up playing poorly, and I struggled to maintain my composure sometimes as I struggled to an 89 (which, to be fair, wasn't as bad as I expected).

It was just such a frustrating experience, as I just couldn't get any consistency going, despite having confidence from the day before.

I know we all experience weekends like this (more often than we'd like), but it was pretty dispiriting to play two such starkly contrasting rounds.

I have been having lessons for a while, and things are definitely going in the right direction, so hopefully with some more solid practice I won't feel the need to moan cathartically on here!?

I hope everyone else competed better than I did...
