Amen
And you're the daddy of all charmers are you not?
Still shameless!
Amen
I missed this thread but I don't think the 6hc had a great round, good maybe. 2 shots under your HC isn't a great round 4 or 5 shots is.

A few weeks ago we had a 5 HC shoot -4 under gross, and he lost on countback to a 22 HC. they both scored 47 points
I know which one played the better golf - irrespective of what their bit of paper says
Whatever anyone says, the 5-handicapper's handicap has been earned and is OK, but the 22-handicapper's handicap must be under suspicion.
Not sure if you missed the smilie from that post? If not, I don't follow you....
What smilie was that?
Exactly! I meant your missing smilie.... if you were joking, that is. If you were serious, I don't follow you!
The point I was trying to make was that a player doesn't get to 5 without his playing record being closely monitored (by the County Union as Cat 1). Unless the 22 handicap has a handicap record over a significant number of qualifiers, alarm bells would sound. I have had more than one occasion where a new member has failed to disclose previous playing/handicap experience prior to initial handicap allocation.. If the 22 handicap had little recorded activity in qualifiers, I would be suspicious and want to know more. If that was not the case, it would be "well played".
