I use the rubber ones in winter as we have s few matts but never thought of lining them up just shove the unused one out the way!

I am pretty sure that using the tees in this way would be illegal. The tees them self are not but the way in which they are being used would DQ the player in question.
You do have to be a sit careful as there are several things that when used out on the course or in certain ways can breach the rules. I heard from a friend of mine about a guy who tee'd off in an EGU event last year and while walking down the first hole swished one of his tour sticks about. DQ on the spot.
Funny that there is no problem with lines on the ball though.
