Anyone Stand Any Chance of Playing Over Christmas?

Just got into work. Is it too late to audition for Dancing on Ice. The pavements are the worse they have been all week after the rain last froze. Really dangerous and it took me 45 minutes to walk in when I can normally do it in 15. The rain didn't even have any effect on the grass as it is still frozen so no chance of a game at the moment but at least the range is open

It's started to clear a bit here. Rain has washed some of the snow away and I can see the road outside my house for the first time in a week. Roads just look wet now rather than snowy and frozen.

Contemplating taking the M3 to the gym instead of the Girlfriends Corsa, which I've been driving all week.

M3 + Snow + Ice = :(

Might be some chance of golf after the weekend. Fingers Crossed.

I can only take so much of TW 10 on my PS3.

We had loads of rain last night and its actually made things worse. The main roads are clear but my road is even more like an ice-rink than it was yesterday.

Roll on Spring.

Which course do you play at Robobum ? Wrag Barn or Broome Manor ?

Neither Jammy, member up at Cirencester GC.

Wrag Barn will be a bog down on the bottom holes, Broome is a cracking course for a muni, just those 6 hr rounds and Man Utd shirts everywhere that put you off!! :D

Would be surprised if we get a game in Edinburgh before the new year.

Best hope would seem to be down the coast somewhere next week. Anyone know how things look down Gullane, North Berwick way?

Agree about Wrag barn , does get wet. Loved Broome Manor though, when we played there in the league it was usually a nice quick round ;)

Never got up to Cirencester to play but had a nice round at Minch a long time ago.

No golf today either for me. I went to the range to try a few things out and all went well. So going back tomorrow if course still closed......................

We have rain here at the moment so we're down to 3" of snow on the ground now, but as said already its to be baltic again come the end of the week.

The course is open but a large number of greens are temps and its very, very wet underfoot. I think if it wasn't Christmas and therefore the potential for members to spend some money in the bar, pro shop vouchers etc then it would and in fact should be closed.

No golf now for 2 weeeks, it was raining torrentially last night and most of the snow/ice is gone bar the sad remains of a snowman which is just a stump.
I want out to play! ive been off for a week now and havent even made it to the range.

I think I'll go tomorrow regardless. I want to try out the GPS and there certainly won't be anyone around, unless I've missed something. I hear it's maybe quite sunny too ( :D)

Jammy gets ,still up to my knees in snow, tried to get to Glasgow today but turned back at Gleneagles as the roads were terrible down to 30mph on the motorway.

I was toying with the idea of trying to play tomorrow. Had an email from the club to say it will re-open tomorrow but been online and all the tee times are booked up :(

Might be able to go down after lunch and get 9 in I suppose.
