Stableford this morning, wasn't looking forward to it as my game seems to have gone backwards.

Anyway start of reasonably well and stand on the 7th tee +2 gross, (17pts), double bogey the 7th but a 2 shot hole gives me 2 more points, hit a good 3W down the 8th only to mess the next one and loose the ball, finished the front nine on 21pts.

Lost ball on 10th, missed birdie putt on 11, parred the 12th, then disaster, finished the back nine with only 9 points and 0.1 back.

Playing to handicap in 1st round of club champs until the 14th. Took a 9 including 2 penalty shots. Killed the round stone dead and finished + 6 net. Scraped into the 2nd round but thirs group out so it shows how far down the field I am

FT: About 1 year ago in a weekend comp was on the 13th fairway on 31 stableford points......the rains came...I had no 'wet' gloves to use at that point....the rains came for remainder of round......hence just 1 more point.........I took it very badly at the time...
