Well iv gone ahead and booked a block of 4 for the winter... That's one a month until march.....

Some have told me play away the way I am if my handicap is still dropping and in some ways I can agree.... But I still know I can tighten things up.... My iron play is probably my best asset... Short game a close second.....

Now its the driver that gets a little erratic..... I kind of baffle myself.... I can stand on a dogleg right to left and play a big draw... 6/10 times it'll work..... I can equally do the same on a left to right...... This filters through the bag also... But as you can imagine its a bit more accurate with the irons...... My main issue last year was a swingpath which iv tightened but I know its not 100%...... The driver shows this up more than any other club.....

So my predicament is do I go for driver lessons this season and concentrate on that.... Or do I just swing a 7 iron again for the Pro and see what he says... I know I'm still swinging more left than he wants me to but I'm getting a good straight ball flight when i do..... When I try shape it I just open and close my foot stance......... ... I'd prefer not to go through another 10 weeks of shanks again this season with irons

Should I just go to him and say I want to take one side of the course out with all clubs and play a fade with everything....

Speak to the pro about what you want to achieve, where he sees the state of your game at the moment and what he thinks you need to work on and get a programme you are happy to work on. For my money, I would have a driving lesson now if you aren't happy with how that is going. Maybe a swing MOT for the second lesson, then see what needs working on as you play over the winter and finish with a short game lesson before the start of next season

Talk to the pro and explain what you want. There is a reason that your driver isn't working and it is likely to be something that also influences your irons. If you go with a sole focus on your driver you could easily start screwing with your good irons.
