Rounds played: 46 (exactly the same as 2024, one more than 2023)
Courses played: 30 (including eight that were new to me this year)
Lowest gross: 85
Index movement: 17.5 to 14.6
Highlight: winning a society outing, nine stableford points clear of second place!
Lowlight: hitting one of the best shots of my life only to discover I'd played the wrong ball :(

Anyone else want to summarise their year? You don't have to use the same metrics that I've selected.

Lowlight - the passing of one of our Greenkeepers who I used to play with regularly.

Rounds played: 18 (cards entered 8)
Courses played: 7
Lowest gross: 68
Index movement: 7.0 -2.3 (7.0 was a weird index allocated by EG based on 6years not playing and no previous under WHS)
Highlights: returning to playing again, Winning a charity day, with lowest gross and longest drive! And breaking 70 for the first time in a long time.
Lowlight: having to have an enforced break from November to April due to work.

Thing to look forward to in 2026: Hopefully moving back home for work permanently and obtaining a new club membership 🤞

Rounds played: 64
Courses played: 4
Handicap Index down to 9.7 from
10.9
Highlight: reaching last 4 of the Regional DM Foursomes Comp (round 6)
Low: Unmentionables May - Aug.

21 courses this year 😊
10 new ones 😊

H/c dropped by a shot and a half but I played to it way more than ever before. I liked being more consistent, hopefully that continues.

Loads of good moments, genuinely. Great year.
Low, getting utterly soaked in an open at Castle Eden whilst at the furthest part of the course. Not being in suitable waterproofs, my fault, and ultimately driving home in a sleeveless top as my shirt and jumper were soaked 🫣 (if that's the worst thing.....)

Belter of a year. If I can match it next year I'll be very happy.

Rounds played: 85 according to Hole19, but does include 9 hole solo practices throughout the summer.

Courses played: 19. Only 7 were first timers.

Lowest gross: 73

Index movement: Briefly went up to 16.9 before getting down to 11.3.

Highlight: Five over 77 at Stockley Park was probably my best ever round in terms of how I played and the fact it was on a par 72 course. Also getting a lower handicap than my mate for only the second time in nine years - usually in that time he's been between 2 and 4 shots lower than me.

Lowlight: Matchplay comps at my club, did very poorly - both solo matches in particular I played well and was leading against better players before bottling the last hole and losing via play-offs in both. I was really gutted about them and had to seriously question my mindset.

No idea how many rounds I have played

Played around 20 different courses 5 new ones

Stated the season at 2.1 - finished at .9

Highlights

Winning club champs plus 3 other board comps

Low - missing out on the scratch double losing the matchplay final

Courses played - not sure
Rounds played - ditto
Hi 15.2 up to 17.0
High was seeing the lad make an ace at Halifax.
Low - not really having one round all year in a comp where I played consistently well.

I’ve submitted 21 cards, index started at 7.4, went up to 10.2 but I’ve got it back down to 6.7.

Lowlights include the lack of competition rounds, (trying to change in 2026), and how lost I was this time last year, I only played twice from the start of December-end of Feb.

Highlights include St George’s Hill, getting my game back with coaching & hard work, how much my short game has improved with some dedicated practice, culminating in three consecutive rounds in the 70’s.

Haven't got a clue how many rounds....must be close to three figures but 33 rounds for handicap, which reduced from 9.5 to 9.1 (highest 11.3 lowest 9.1)

Courses played...just 8 I think...1 new one.

Highlight....shooting a gross 75 on the New Course in the Moray Open and going on to qualify for the matchplay stages for the first time, despite only 32 players being able to qualify (instead of the normal 64) due to weather reducing the number of matchplay rounds.

Lowlight...losing in the first round of the above matchplay after being 3 up after 8.

Best gross...the above 75 (and a couple of 76's round my home course). Worst gross...at least 2 91's round my home course.

Rounds played: 45-50 (first ever round was mid-October)
Courses played: 5
Lowest gross: 101
Index movement: 53.5 to 43.3
Highlights: getting on a course for the first time, first birdie
Lowlights: taking 16 shots on my second ever hole thanks to a bunker; handicap nearly maxing out, multiple water penalties on the same par 3
