2016 Goals

Main one is the same as last couple of year :mmm: that is get my handicap to 18 or below (currently 19.1 and stuck)

Win a comp and therefore qualify for the end of season "winners" comp - qualified the last 3 years but this year was as one of a pair

Getting fitter (losing a few pound and working on my core strength should help)

Practice and improve my poor putting and driving.

Play some of the reciprocal courses from my membership

Try and scrape a couple of buffers in amongst the avalanche of 0.1's headed my way!!!

Maybe sneak in a trip abroad early or late next year.

No goals next year, pressure off, play as much as I can and enjoy every game, the handicap? Que sera sera.

Play more different courses

Enjoy myself as much as possible
Similar for me, though it would be nice to play with less knobs off here.;)

Can't wait to play in the forum meets in Deal, Woburn and Aberdeen, and also trips to St Andrews and Woodhall.

The most popular goal always seems to be to reach single figures

I wonder how many reach it - good luck to all

Stop letting Monty draw yourself with Smiffy then

Not thought that far ahead but...... I guess the ongoing driving force is to try and get to single figures. Other than that, play H4H next year as I was gutted to have missed this years. Play as many GM Forum events as I can, as many other courses over and above those I can. Work hard on the short game and generally have as much fun as I can

1. Get back to 9 since all the swing changes
2. Learn how to putt and get my average PPH down to 1.5
3. Learn to enjoy competitions more instead of putting pressure on myself
4. Tick off another 10 courses from the Top 100 UK

Mine? To learn how to relax on a golf course.

I'm not quite there yet and it's hampering my game. The one time this summer when I felt truly relaxed (abroad) I hit a 13. Normally I'm hitting 22-25 and always thinking about what work I need to do, what I need to rush home to finish off, how my playing partner is behaving, what someone has done to irritate me earlier that day, etc. It's a frustration but I need to get my mental game in check in 2016. I'd love to be able to 'escape' when I get onto the course.
