2016 Goals

My goal this year was to get to 2.xx, I failed by .3 and ended at 3.2but am still really pleased with how the season ended up (considering I went from 4.1 to 4.8 at one point).

So my aim will be to get off 2.4 or lower.

Also want to finally reach 50 courses in the top 100 in England. Done 41 so far

Have just joined a club after six years off. So my goal is is to play as much as I can and at least better my h/c I last had. (17)

1. Get down to single figures - currently 11.7, down from 14.4 at the start of the year
2. Shoot in the 70s from the white tees
3. Play a double-bogey-free round
4. Hit a decent tee shot on the first tee more than 10% of the time!

First goal for next year is to be able to tee it up at the Mizuno Forum day in early May. Date is in the diary and deposit is paid :D

Those who have been around long enough will know I had a serious spinal accident in March 2014 which required major surgery and a lengthy rehab process. It's been a long slow process, but I'm almost at that point where I feel I can try to play once again. I've been swinging the short irons a bit, but still to tackle the longer irons and woods yet.

After that, anything else will be a bonus ;)

Best wishes for getting back on the course early next year :one:

1. Have a round with no 3 putts
2. Have a round with no double bogeys
3. Continue with at least 1 lesson a month
4. Play more links golf
5. Get to single figures. This year come down from 15.4 to 12.2.

Get my handicap down to 20 and average less than 28 putts.

28 putts is a tall ask, that's the sort of figure that tour players aim for. It will take a lot of work to get there so good luck with that.

Admirable target, best of luck in your recovery Dave

Nothing major handicap wise, just get to single figure.

It would also be good to have a medal round under 80 gross, harder for us than for the men as SSS is normally higher.

I would also like to qualify for the knockout stages of a scratch competition

Get last years game back and focus on the given home drills. Now my pro has fled the country in search of better climates in Oz, I've finally found another no BS pro which I think understand my faults and thinking.

Actually really looking forward to the winter work ahead!
