Its not that far away so I thought I'd ask if anyone has set any goals for 2016?

Mine are:

Win an event in my monthly league
Qualify for my monthly league grand final
Keep the same ball for 2 rounds of golf
Become confident with my golf club nemesis - The Driver!

Play more different courses

Enjoy myself as much as possible

First goal for next year is to be able to tee it up at the Mizuno Forum day in early May. Date is in the diary and deposit is paid :D

Those who have been around long enough will know I had a serious spinal accident in March 2014 which required major surgery and a lengthy rehab process. It's been a long slow process, but I'm almost at that point where I feel I can try to play once again. I've been swinging the short irons a bit, but still to tackle the longer irons and woods yet.

After that, anything else will be a bonus ;)

Best of Luck with this David, its been along road for you and I cannot even possibly imagine the difficulty. To hear that you feel closer to playing is superb news.

To OP my aim is just to enjoy it and let my handicap take care of itself. It might go up, it might do down. The aim is not to let it bother me and get back to enjoying the game I love every time I play.

New course this season so first and foremost is to get myself used to the course and find the members bounces!

Get from 8.3- Cat 1
Get my name on a trophy
Double bogey free medal round
Break 75 in a medal
Remain best handicapper in my group
Qualify for club championships knock out stage

Best read for ages. And many happy returns to the course.

Hopefully a new hip and get the back and neck sorted over the winter. Would love to back carrying next year
