15 yards to the pin... how do you get it there?

have you ever used a high bounce wedge? I have a 54 with 14 degrees on it. when its dry in the summer. you can hit it as fat as you want 1,2 even 3 inches and the thing still works well. inches is no exaggeration.

I certainly have :D

The SW that came with my R7 irons had 55° of loft and 16° of bounce.

If I caught one a few inches heavy, on firm ground, with that I would have carved a lovely smile into it.

have you still got this wedge? if you opened that blade up than you would add even more bounce and you could possibly be in the realms having too much.

Get it on YouTube and post the link

small practice swing to get the feeling of hitting it behind the ball. result - ball still pops up onto the green.

I don't Gary, It went when I sold the set in 2012.

When it comes to opening the face of a club up, on that wedge, the amount would have been daft!

That said, there are certain sole grinds in the Vokey range that allow for wedges to have a high(er) bounce angle, yet still keep a low leading edge when opened up:

https://www.vokey.com/vokes-notebook/vokey-tour-grinds.aspx

The grind in question is the 'M' grind and is offered in wedges with 10°, 11° and 12° of bounce.

I might buy one of these to muck around with. bit cheaper than a vokey. just to see what I can do with it.

for me it depends how much fairway vs green I am working with.

If it is 70% fairway I would use a 60 degree wedge and stop it dead
If it is 70% green I would look to land it a yard on the green and roll it the rest of the way like a putt.

Also depends on conditions as hawkeye has pointed out

Do you do requests? Any chance you could play the shot a couple of inches behind the ball but filming it side on instead of from behind?
Would be really interested to see what happens to the club head after it hits the ground before hitting the ball. I know you say it "slides", but I can't picture it doing anything else but "bounce" :o

Oh and in slow motion if possible please....
