15 yards to the pin... how do you get it there?

Depends on the lie and how well I am playing.

My preferred shot would be a 56 wedge with about 4-6 ft of roll out, but if it is a clear run and no rough or severe slopes I would down to an 8 iron, used to use a if very little to go over rough wise. Went through a stage of using a hybrid but don't carry one any more and considering you said you cannot putt it it is likely you would need some loft to minimize the chances of the ball hanging up in the rough.

Depends on the amount of fringe. When playing sensibly, and thinking properly, I play it low and to run up to the hole.
S choose the club that just carries it on and will run the rest of the way - sounds like a PW, 9 iron or 8 iron.

When not thinking too well it would be an open faced 58* lob shot.

58* wedge, use the bounce and fly it most of the way and hope is checks on second bounce - well that's the theory after the last batch of lessons!

If the pin is a reasonable way on, then whatever club will land it on the green and run out to the pin.

Though I've tended to use 8 iron, PW or 52.

If pin is tight to front, then happy to land it short and trust to luck.

Rescue Putt is handy tool as well for many situations.

All depends on how the green is running , time of the year, the break on the green, Generally use a 54 degree and dropp it short and let it roll up to gimmie range

open the clubface on my 60* wedge and go for an impressive flopshot that goes straight in no roll necessary... but this ends up in a thinned shot off the green and puts me about 50 yards further out...

always a bump and run for me, 8 or 9 iron.

Previously I would have used my 62 lob wedge, took a full swing, sending the club under the ball and grass, moving the ball an impressive 12 inches forward, I would then curse get my 50 degree wedge and do a little chip over the fringe and run to the Pin wondering why I didn't do that in the first place.

So this year I'm going to keep telling myself I'm not called Phil, and play a 46 or 50 degree wedge for bump, run and check.

It doesn't matter to me I can skull any club on the day.

Depending on the lie and green conditions (speed/slope) I'd either go with a PW with ball back in stance to bump and run or my 56* and pitch it a little closer and hope it checks. More likely to duff it to the edge of the fringe though.

56* wedge for me, fly it two thirds of the way there with a bit of check on it, hopefully leaving 2 feet or less

doesn't always work, but after a recent tip i got I've started placing more weight on my left leg throughout the chipping action, it seems to be happening more often than previously

Since my chipping lesson a while back, this is one area of my game I'm really confident in.

15 yards, assuming the green is relatively flat, would be a chip with an 8 iron.

Get the ball to land ASAP then react like a putt.

Far more predicable than flying it on and either judging spin or where to land.

If the green is quite undulating, I'd probably carry the ball a little further to remove some of the need to read the break and read the break to the whole from where I want to land the ball.

Either way it would be a low spin, rolling shot.

Not really enough information.

Lie may rule out certain options.

Distance to pin is 15 yards, need to know distance to the green and any undulations or tiers on it (ground conditions, wind...) to help determine landing area and desired shot, then play the shot that'll land there and run the rest of the way. If it's really soft may be more likely to fly it.

An old saying goes something like putt when you can, chip when you can't and pitch only when you have to. There may be something in Seve's view of liking to see opponents putt as they're probably lagging it, whereas he's trying to hole it which is probably dependent upon a players standard and strengths / weaknesses.

When I used to play more I'd play a Sw and manipulate the club, now more likely to use the rule of 12 to help select club if chipping is a realistic option.

Although as I'm playing round with the linear method to see how it works I might well much around a bit more at this point in time to gain experience in how the method may best work for me.
