I think I'm up to about the 120 mark too. Seem to add about 7-10 a year and am always happy to be playing a course I've not been to before. Just added Druids Glen and Druids Heath which are my first in Ireland. Curiously (as it's not that far from Blackpool) I've never played in Wales, must visit sometime as there are plenty of good courses on the North Wales coast. Favourite overall so far has to be Turnberry Ailsa.

Got up to 87 played so far. Four new ones so far this year, another couple yet to play in the next couple of months.

The vast majority of these were played more than 20 years ago when I think the top courses were a bit more affordable.
For example, it was 1989 we played the Old and New courses St Andrews ( Old morning and New afternoon )...£60 for the 2 rounds in mid July :D

No idea how many I've played but not that impressive. I've played some famous ones, and some hidden gems along with the odd goat track. What makes a great course though as one mans meat and all that. I like my own course (naturally) but I know some on here that have played it and hated it. Similarly there are courses with a half decent reputation (Mill Ride) that I can't stand.

Impressive list, Toad. I'm guessing you quite like the course beginning with "Aber" or St Andrews" then?

As for IainG's list I'm fairly sure he's made half of them up as I've not heard of many of them. ;)
Drink was obviously involved when he was trying to remember them.

I'd just be drawn to a course called Bogside. Conjures up a wonderful, idyllic golfing image, don't you think? And here we are at the 140th Open Championship coming to you from....Bogside.

Glad I helped you get those thinking caps on.

John, I'll give you a shout when I get my next holidays and you can come up and play Murrayshall and Lynedoch at members guest rates to clock off another 2 Scottish courses.

Drop me a PM if there's going to be anytime particularly good for you.
