Just received an email from apple talking about father's day, wondered what products they were expecting me to shell out for a day that my dad couldn't care less about.

Then I saw a product called Zepp Golfsense, which peaked my interest.
From the very short look online at their website it looks like it could be quite interesting. I once heard it being called data porn, when you are able to see all the information you could possibly want from a golf product. The sensor looks like it hooks to your glove and then analyses your swing path (and I am sure many other things).

I also took a look at some reviews and they were mixed between 5 stars and 1 star.
Personally, I only read the 1 star reviews as I want to know what is wrong with the product.

I wanted to ask if anyone has one, knows someone that has one and what they think of it.

I've not got one, but have been tempted by this and/or the other one, whose name escapes for the moment, but the other is the one that has a sensor which pushes into the butt of your club and relays data to a small belt mounted unit, which you then upload to your PC once your done.

Did a search for the second one I mention above, but the website is down.

There are several others as well to look at. Swingbyte, golfsense, 3 bays GSA and more besides. I am looking at the swingbyte 2.

It's difficult to know whether I would be wasting my money with something I would stop using after the first couple of months. My gut feel is I would.
Or maybe another problem is that I would start chasing impossible swing stats that I can't achieve (therefore messing up my game in the process).

I have another tech question though and this is one I have been thinking about.
What are people's thoughts on GPS watches and anyone have one they recommend?
Always difficult to know which product to buy, especially when they aren't cheap!

thanks as always.

I dont have a watch, but I did have a GPS app on my phone, it worked well and gave accurate readings.

they give you what you want to know - don't know anyone who has had issues with one; they buy - they use. However, they have all been Garmin (because these were early adopters) and things have moved on with other's joining in. Plenty of web reviews.

Just been watching the skypro vids, that does look like a pretty good app, I'd like to try one, before I actually parted with my hard earned but it does look really good.

I love some of these toys.. but I will need a new phone. Looks like most of these are iPhone/iPad or Android. Nothing for a blueberry user :(

I have one of the sky caddie sky pros and its very good, only had it since Tuesday and not had time to test it fully but it's already highlighted several issues which I wasn't aware of. It connects easily, calibrates easily, stays in position, and its waterproof.
