My club has just gone onto the full winter course last week, very short and and now has 7 par 3's ( 3 of the best short par 4's get shortened by 200 yard and made into par 3s) instead of the usual 4.
One of the par 5's becomes a tricky par 4 rather than a fairly easy par hole.
All full greens though and putted well thanks to the new Graden Machine we got this year. Slits and injects kiln dried sand, far less invasive than hollow tine and recover and sare still good to put on straight after.
First week of the winter league, course is now a par 67 shot a 69 gross with a double on a par 4 so played OK-ish!
What changes do you have a to your course and how is it playing at the moment?
