Winter course recommendation

If you need a course on a Saturday that doesn’t have competitions, I would consider places like Whitefield GC ( north Mcr) & Durham Forest (south Mcr) both predominantly Jewish clubs and have their comps on Sundays .
I played an open four ball at Whitefield in April earlier this year on a recommendation that it drains well and holds up in the wet weather over winter, personally I didn't find it any different to other local courses.

I was speaking to a friend at the weekend who plays at Tyneside. He was saying how firm that is at the moment. If you are wanting a second course to play, that wouldn't be a bad option.

I’d be a member at Tyneside in a heartbeat but I’ve heard it’s a nightmare trying to get a tee time…much like my current course 🤔🤣
