played today off the white tees as I was marking a card for a new member who is trying ot get a handicap cert before the winter.

Shot a gross 101 (par72) but included two 9's (on par 5's) an 8 (par 4) and a 7 (par4).

The card was signed by myself and the player, so would my score be handicao tracked? Also would the high score's be adjusted to double bogey's?

Currently playing of 28, so what should I expect if anything?

Thanks for reading... :D

If you just marked your scores down as marker, no, you should not get cut.

As to the maths of a theoretical cut, it depends what stroke index those holes were, as you get 2 shots on 10 holes, so the 9 on the par 5 could be a nett double bogey of you had 2 shots, and would not be adjusted, or a nett triple bogey if you only had 1 shot, and would be adjusted down 1 shot. Likewise the other par 5 and the 8 on a par 4. The 7 on a par 4 is a nett double bogey at worst and will not be adjusted no matter what stroke index it is.

I think a cut would be unlikely from those scores unless they were all 1 shot holes and the SSS was close to par.

Thanks for the replies.

Disappointed that i wont be cut, but also happy that i now know i can score around my handicap.

Just need to transfer the round on to a competition day.
