Whose been custom fitted and what changes were made

TMMB's were ordered to be 2° flat but were sent with 1 iron correct out of the set. The rest were a mix and match. 5 iron even has wrong loft.

Have since had them adjusted to 1° flat. Std length with 2 layers of tape.

Wedges are 2° flat and std length.

5'9 height.

1/2" longer and 2 degrees upright seems to be the standard for us 6' 2" lads.
Did the wedges as well and am REALLY pleased with those.
Think it was 4 wraps on the grips.

I'm 6'4" and was custom fit for my irons. With hindsight I do have some concerns about the level of depth given to my fitting but I came out as +4 degrees upright and 1" longer I also had Project X shafts rather than the DG TT as the golds were ballooning.

I think anyone who goes and spends a lot of money on irons and did not get them custom fitted could be missing out. I have always had my clubs fitted and I have my TM's 1 inch long and 1 degree upright. I just can't hit standard length and lie clubs anymore as I keep thinning them or I have to hunch over and hit htem with a half swing to make sure I get a good connection, but by doing that I loose too much distance.

It's not all about height:
I'm 6'1".
My latest CF came up with 2deg' upright and 1/3 inch longer shaft + midsize grips.

Apparently my arms are quite short compared to my overall height.

When I came back to playing golf I had a set of irons CF'd before having lessons. At that point I had 2 deg flat and 1/2 inch longer shaft. All because I had a very flat swing.

I'm 5'5" and my G20s are 1" short with 1.5 degrees flat and a red grip (2 below standard).

Not sure really what it all means but it was a very thorough fitting and they work for me.

My Titleist AP2'S are 2* flat - but that is the same as 0* in a Mizuno (as far as I can recall)

I'm 5'8".

All my irons have been standard length.
Titleists were 2° flat.
Nikes are 1° flat.

As Chris said, the reason is that there's no standard across manufacturers.

I'm sure it must be very real for the people using them, but I've never understood 'needing' longer irons unless it's to save having the lie altered as much.

A standard 5 iron is the same length as a 7 iron with 1" longer shafts. How is one fine and the other impossible to hit right?

I'm 5 10" and have only bothered getting checked for swign speed and shaft flex recently. Regular lie and length seems fine for me... have been checked versus various lie settings for a bunch of brands when I worked in a golf shop and I always came out as standard, so these days I don't worry too much about it.

I'm 5' 10" and went for a fitting this week and ordered a set of Titleist AP1's, standard length, 1 degree flat and S300 shafts. I've been using a set of black dot Ping's with a regular AWT shaft. Just waiting for the phone call now to say that the news bats are in.
