Looks like they came back and did a full vlog round the course

They seem to have done the back 9 a few times but the top video is only one I can find of the front 9, which is the more mature 9

Mute might be needed to watch

Normanby Hall in Lincolnshire, it's a municipal course so doesn't quite get the tlc that the layout deserves, the fairways are never watered for e.g., but the council have invested heavily over the last few years, improved drainage and outside specialists have started a bunker overhaul programme.

It's a decent test of anyone's game, 6598 yards of tree lined holes with tough rough off the whites, par 72, CR 73.1, Slope 138 and it would be a tough task to find better value either as a visitor or member!........£22.50 peak summer time visitor rate anyone?

The website isn't the best........Normanby Hall

It looks excellent value
off topic, are the white tees on the 18th Par 4 really shorter than the red and yellows or is that a typo on the scorecard webpage ?

No, it's correct. The 18th tee used to be on the same tee box as the yellows, 5 or so years ago a new tee box (for the whites only) was created 50 yards to the left and slightly forward of the original. It brings a large tree on the left of the fairway into play and makes the hole much more challenging.

I watched some of the first one. No idea why he suggests it is a future Open venue, clearly he doesn't understand golf.

Me and a few mates have have all got the Wirral active pass this year at £43 a month. With that we play a 9 holer called the Warren mid week and arrowe park at the weekend. Good value. You can use the gym and swimming as well.
I played the Warren earlier this year, excellent facility for getting people into golf.

I've no idea why he's suggesting it could be, yes we have the infrastructure in the local area and the proper tips (blacks) are distance for pros but it's not that ready

Maybe a European tour event long term

It's hosted the Essex open a few times now but "the open" entirely different ball game

It's never going to host the Open because it isn't a links.

Pro event sure if the owners/members are prepared to stump up the money.

To be fair the only reason I came across his channel was because I searched for our course

Never heard of him

And he comes across bloody annoying "go on the boy" lol
Has the club stated some pie in the sky ambition to host The Open or did he literally just make it up?? 😆

That's not relevant to what I've asked. The club might have said they want to host an Open - it would be silly but they still might have said it!

You would hope that anyone worth their salt within golf marketing or running the golf club wouldn’t at any stage even jokingly suggest hosting The Open in any sort of public domain
