When is a sandy par not a sandy par

I don't believe it.
Liverproofphil looking on Google.:rolleyes:
What don’t you believe - when you make such a bold definitive statement i would expect you to be able to provide the back up surely ?😉

As you are always quite “hot” on spelling and grammar

Sandy = bunker
Par = getting the Ball in the hole in the same amount of shots as the par of the hole

So if you go in a bunker ( Sandy ) and then par the hole it means you have made a “Sandy Par”

Simples 😀👍😂

Birdies, eagles, sandy ferrets, golden sandy ferrets, wooslems, reverse wooslems, rolling wooslems. Apart from the birdies/eagles, I've not had a game with bits in for years.

Before today, I'd never heard of ferrets in golf, as never really played for bits much - what are these though:- wooslems, reverse wooslems, rolling wooslems.

Think the term is oozlum or similar. Nearest the pin, has to be on green, on a par 3. Reverse oozlum is when you three putt or worse. If no one hits the green you carry bit over to next par three.

Is the right answer. For the reverse Wooslem, the guy that 3 putts pays out.

Playing for bits...

I once joined a group that played £1 bits. I was accused on the 13th of deliberately going in to the bunkers to win bits after upping and downing for the 5th time in the round. I then had to remind them that on one hole I picked up after putting my bunker shot to within 6" because my partner was already in for par.
