So what are you doing tonight?

I believe New Years Eve is a big hoot north of the border with much merrymaking!

We're planning to go on the village from pub to pub then settle in one to see in the New Year. I have a distinct feeling it will be a messy evening!
Cue the pint of water and Paracetamol for when I get home!

Anyone seeing in the New Year at their golf club?

No chance of it happening at mine, it's a right dead hole!

I dont like going out new years eve, when I worked on the doors it was always a trouble night with people getting far to sloshed and then getting either over-emotional and weepy or downright nasty. Obviously a minority but always a few every year.

Went out for a couple of NYE nights out and it was the same, the last one was with a group of mates and some mates of mates, one lads bird got absolutely trolleyed, was trying to stick her tounge down all the other blokes throats and then decided to throw-up all over the floor in the george vaults, it wasnt even 9pm.

So, me and the wife have got a couple friends over. I have kept a very nice bottle of Barolo to accompany the meal we are having, we will then toast the new year with a bottle of champagne and have an early night as me and the wife are off early doors in the morning to watch Tottenham.

I've been roped into picking my daughter up from her friends at 7.30 tomorrow morning as she is working from 8. Only a 50 mile round trip
Kids eh?

Puts a right spoiler on yours dont it having to get up and drive that early.

I never have a skinfull if I have to drive the next morning, always get a cab into work if I have anymore than 4pts the night before.

Have a good quiet one mate, havent checked but hopefully Jools Holland is on. Love his NYE programs.

HID has to be up at 5.30 for work New Year's day so I doubt it'll be a late night here. I'll be crashing out by about 11 anyway...
Never done much for New Year.

Stupidly we've booked an £80 a ticket Black Tie event at the DeVere Belton Woods in Lincolnshire with a number of other family members.

If I'm honest, I really can't be arsed and the only thing I'm looking forward to this weekend is a couple of rounds of golf, all being well. Knowing my luck, either the courses will be closed or I'll wake up with flu or something stupid.

Up to the course in about an hour and play a few holes. The wife is cooking a meal tonight and I've got my dad coming along. At midnight we watch all the fireworks being let off - good view of the Solent from our place.

We used to go out on NYE but it was always a rip-off. Naff food served up at about 7.30pm, finished before 9 and then left twiddling your thumbs until you let off your party popper at midnight. Never seemed particularly pleasant out either. I worked full-time in a pub many years ago. Xmas was great but New Year always brought out the worst in people. Much safer at home with family.

Off out for a curry and couple of pints. The promise of being up at 7am with our 18 month old daughter always reins us in!!

Not much, bottle of rose, small crate of tiger beer and a dozen WKD sat in the fridge depending on where the mood takes us.
Course is back open and the missus has booked us into the cinema for the kids matinee on Saturday lunchtime totally ripping the day apart for golf. 5-6 weeks of non golf and she does this to me.

70's night in my local boozer which is quite small. 20 people in and its quite full. Average age of punters is about 60+ so no trouble expected. Karaoke will be on as will skittles, darts, dominoes and pool. We have quite a few singers who are really shocking, but everyone gets a big cheer after every song sung. Should be a great night. The "new" couple have really turned around the pub and the beer, even putting a real fire in. Nice and snuggly. Have a good one.

Not a thing bar a nice fillet cooked by the other half followed by a veg on the sofa watching the TV with Only and Excuse being the highlight.Would not be surprised if I'm in my chariot before the bells but I'll make up with it tomorrow with a Leo Sayer in the local boozer.

Bloody nothing, you know there's always one at every party, the one that ends up drunk as a lord and maaking a fool of himself and paying for it for weeks after...Da,Dah. It's me. I dont go anywhere nowadays. Staying put where I can't get into any trouble. I'll give our lass a kiss at 12 then it's bed for me.
